EcuFlash won't connect

Can't figure out why EcuFlash won't read my ECU. EvoScan connects and works fine but everytime I try to run EcuFlash program it says using openport 1.3 and then says fail and closes the interface. Ideas anyone?

Install new drivers.
Make sure there is good engine & battery ground.
The ecu is very picky about voltage so make sure your car has ran a little bit before connecting.
Also make sure if you are are running the latest ecuflash you have all the right xmls.

I just used EvoScan to read the ECU and then opened the saved rom in EcuFlash.

Opening roms doesnt require drivers, while using external hardwear does ie; your tactrix cable.

Download a different version of ecuflash. 1.42.2595 has always been flawless for me.

If it still doesnt worky try a different computer.... pretty simple stuff here...

I have a similar issue..

Mitsulogger connects and reads and logs fine no problems.. even my aem UEGO along with it. and displays all the parameters..

I purchased Evoscan to have the advanced features and easier tuning capabilities..

Evoscan can DL and read my ecu rom.. but it cannot or go "live" and read anything from my ECU at all..

any ideas?

i just got mine to work, i use evoscan to read and flash, then open and edit with ecuflash, but what worked for me was making sure the it plugged in good, let the car run for a bit and then pull the key out, hit the read button its say the "make sure the key is in the on position, then put the key in and put it in the on position and quickly hit the ok button. sounds crazy but it worked for me lol
