Can't edit rom metadata folders

When I try to copy, paste and save definitions into ecuflash i get a error message saying access denied. What I'm trying to do specifically is add the tefera v5 definitions to rom 88590015. I just switched to the newest version of ecuflash.

If you are on windows 7, go to properties, security, advanced and then you can edit your user to have full permission to edit those files.

I have also had issues with adding definitions lately so hopefully you have more luck then I did

It showing full control, but still not giving me the ability to change anything.

What rights does the user that you are running with have? I usually advise people to run in low privilege mode. For tuning with the apps written that don't seem to even run properly if run with a lower privileged user my suggestion is to setup a profile as admin just for tuning. I have no issues doing anything with EcuFlash/EvoScan with that setup in my tuning laptop. Then you have another account with lower privileges for going on the internet.

I am still leaning towards some sort of block from full permission on your user name or lack of permission on the folder that the roms are located in..

UAC is probably enabled I would agree

Sorry I didn't report back sooner. I had to change the settings to take it off read only. I went to the start menu, typed ecu flash in the search bar, the program came up, right clicked on it, went to properties, clicked the "general" tab and unchecked "read only'. Problem solved.
