At wit's end with Tephra V7

Tv7 has a sweet amount of features we can all agree. What's killing me is the general driveability:

-Throttle Hang
- Cold Start
- Unstable/Rough Idle

I have been reading threads for months on Evom on how to combat these issues with certain table vaule changes. No dice. Has anyone ever switched to a modified stock map from Tv7?

I can't be the only one who has thought that....

Mod list (nothing special):
Amsoil Intake
62mm Ported TB (Rebuilt by Mil.Spec)
Ported Exhaust Mani
Stock 8 turbo with 10/5 hotside and Megan ported 02 housing
2.5 in DP with RT cat and RM01A exhaust.
Omni 4 bar and GM BCS (tuned to 22psi)

Will post map later when I am home.
Note: Living in Mass I have to keep certain value turned on for yearly inspection.

My tuner was able to fix all those issues in about 20 minutes on tephra V7 with SD. With MAF I never had those issues. More details on your setup may help.

Post up your tune file and maybe someone will help find the issue. I agree with badevo that you should post up your mods as well.

Your symptoms seems similar to the 9417 vs 9653 idle stepper table/iscv tables differences issue.

ISCV setting seems okay to me. I mean they're OEM like, not messed up.

dynotech's cold start idle trim thread kills it.

I have seen that thread. Seems to be a bountiful amount of work to make this map driveabale...maybe I'm just acting like an old fart...

Do you have a VTA BOV or recirculated?
You're mentionning that V7 is causing that? So I assume you have a stock ROM somewhere that doesn't have these issues?? Post-it as well.

I have throttle hang issues when letting off the throttle from boost area
and sometimes stalling issues when parking the car. I'm on oem DV and MAF, 9653 v7 rom.

any fixes for these ?

haven't touched any tables after downloading the rom from v7 thread, ecxept fuel/timing maps

Running the 9 DV recirculated. The stock map I have been utilizing as a control is one you can download from the Evo Ecu wiki - 94170015

It has no effect on whichever tephra version you are. It's all the same base ROM with some new features. If you'd look at the code you'd find that they share about 98%+ of the same code. Your issue is either in the tables or mechanical.
If you say that a stock ROM runs great and 9653 v7 runs poor, find the differences in the tables.

Ralliartize It Mar 22, 2013 11:47 AM

From a mechanical standpoint I've replaced all the solenoids in the EGR system and the EGR valve itself and I have replaced every single vacumm line I could find. New Plugs, clean, MAF etc.

I have done quite a bit table comparisons between the 9417005 and Tephra v7 equivalent ROM and all the would be applicable tables have similar if not the same exact values. This is why am I at such a loss on this. I will spend some time this weekend doing another comparison.
