Car won't start after gearbox failure
Hi I'm having trouble starting my car after replacing a blown gearbox. It was a serious gearbox failure at the drags.
I was running on e85 and the engine has been sitting for 3 months after which I replaced the gearbox and reassembled everything. The tank was drained of fuel for the 3 months. I have since filled up with pump fuel and reflashed my pump fuel map back into the ecu for the restart. Things I have checked so far: No blown fuses No fault codes I have spark I have fuel pressure ECU Immobiliser is switched off Timing marks all line up I've poured fuel down the cylinders and got it to fire very briefly then it just dies. I have an evoscan datalog which shows some weird things happening with speed and rpm when I am cranking the car. Is this signs of a crook crank position sensor despite no fault codes and still having spark??? we had the same problem not so long ago - crank sensor was the cause of it so I think you are right.
