Can't save my updated xml file
I searched but to no prevail on this. Here is the issue:
I want to add a MUT table to my ROM, which is 94170008. So I follow the evoecu guide to add a MUT table. I go into C:\Program Files\OpenECU\EcuFlash\rommetadata\mitsubishi\evo. I find my 0008 xml file, which all of them are in IE xml, which I though was odd. Anyway, I use notepad ++. Open it, add the MUT xml info with the correct 38060 address. Now, What do I do from here? I try to file save, but access is denied when I try to save it along with the other roms there. Do I have to save this file somewhere else? I tried saving it to the desktop, then used Ecuflash to open it, and that would not work. If anyone could chime in on this, it would be great. |
You need to open the editor as an administrator so you can write back to the program files directory. The XML files probably open by default on that machine in IE because IE is set as the default editor. You can easily change that by changing the default program to open the xml files.
