Omni 4bar readings Vs Boost guage readings.
Just installed omni 4 bar. Doing some logging at idle. Its reading -8.5 ish but my boost guage reads -15 at idle.
This is for rom 96530706. Do you need to change formulas? Or is this accurate info? I read on here for my rom just input the formula into evoscan and it just works. |
Clarify please? Manufacturer of your boost gauge? I am assuming your utilizing PSI calcs? You need to edit the equation in evoscan to represent your ambient PSI.
My gauge reads 12 vacuum at idle, and my evoscan registers -4 ish. During a pull it registers boost correctly within very close reason to gauge vs. evoscan. |

I have cams so i am seeing -15 inches of vac on my mechanical guage. Just installed omni 4 bar to log boost. Evo scan 2.9. Logging Omni 4 bar in evoscan. Request 38- Function 0.2369*x-14.7 Units psig. I havent compared boost readings but right off the bat im only seeing about -8.x inches of vac via evo scan and omni 4 bar.:beer::beer::beer::beer::beer: |
I assume that you are confused by the readings you see.
The Gauge reads : -30 inHg --- 0 inHg/Psi --- 30 Psi -15 inHg equals about -7.5 Psi at sea level.. so different scale.. Evoscan read only PSI 0 PSI = 0 inHg -7.5 = -15 inHg -15 PSI = -30 inHG you get it.... |
