Boost control with ECUFlash - What are you using?
Basically, what the title says, are you using the stock sileniod controled by ECUFlash, a MBC, or something else??
Also, if using the stock sienoid controled by ECUFlash, how does it work? Does it hold boost well? Did you have to remove one of the pills in the stock line?

Hi
I'm using Ecuflash to control the stock boost solenoied. I can see the changes in the torque curve from the ECU+, but don't have my MAP hooked up yet. Car is pretty stock.

I do plan on switching to a GM or Perrin solenoid at some point in the near future once I get the boost maps figured out.. (don't forget to use a resistor with the GM Solenoid so you don't burn out the ECU's solenoid driver!!!!)
There appears to be several boost maps, I'm not sure if their
(Max wastegate Duty, and Desired engine load level) load based or gear based tables.. But it makes sense since you might want different starting duty based on different gears only there are 4 tables and not 5, so there may be other conditions (maybe first and second gear share one table, etc..) But I have not yet figured this out since I"m running an MBC at the moment.
I assume Max duty is the "Starting point" and the Desired engine load level sets the target (From your MAF reading!) In other words, you use the Max Duty to set the rough boost level you need to hit, and the other table to allow it to alter the duty to the level you want (A form of closed loop boost control) but since its based on MAF value, it uses air mass and not boost pressure as your reference, this actually could be a good thing..

I'm trying to use the stock ecu to control the solenoid via a E-Flash from Al. Based on the E-Flash rom image, it should eliminate the tapper, however my before and after logs showed zero change in either max boost or the boost taper. Hits 20.1 psi max and drops down to 16.5 - 17.0 by 7000. This is with the restrictor just before the solenoid removed.
So I either have a leek, a ****ty stock bov, or an improperly adjusted stock wg actiuator. I tried to add a little more pretension to the wg actuator this weekend but have not had a chance to log the results yet. I also replaced all my clamps with t-bolt clamps this weekend.
