Mine definitely reads 0% at idle.. at least on the ECU+ have to look at the Evoscan logs to see there..

I never noticed that it was over 0 at idle in Evoscan before.. That can't be right.. my regular logger shows 0%

I think some one mentioned this on the openecu boards and they were talking about how the pedal isn't being depressed at all but the engine is using some amount of throttle to keep it running...

I don't know if idle would be quite 13% but it was interesting.

Still waiting on my ecu+ to show up....

But if you assume a linear scale from 0v to 5v with 0 being 0%tps and 5v being 100% a reading of 13 would correspong to .65 volts form the sensor which just about right isn't it?

We don't have a throttle-stop though, our BISS and Idle stepper control Valve is a bypass system.. Doesn't touch the throttle blade at all..

If you check the voltage it should be about .6v closed.. It may be that numerically .6v calculates to 13% since EvoScan may be converting something that should be a voltage into a percentage..

The resolution seems to be 0.4%.... that equates to about 251 points from 0-100%
Cruizing on flat land(hard to find in WV) at 75MPH is about 20%
I pick up quite a bit of acceleration at 30%... well enough to pass on the interstate.
Open loop still seems to come in just under 30%

I have a feeling that evoscan is doing a conversion on the voltage since at least several of us are getting 12-15 at idle and that is right around .6-.7volts.

mad VIII I previously posted in your other thread with details of the conversion, confirmation with voltmeter etc. Evoscan is simply reporting a % of 5V. Closed throttle is not zero volts and I wouldn't expect it to be. This is a good ECU stategy to determine faults I expect. On many cars 5V would also not be 100% throttle. Service manuals usually give a range such as 0.5+-0.2V to 4.5+-0.2V (this is a Subaru for example for closed and open). In fact the Evo does appear to swing to virtually 5V at open throttle.

I just checked mine and it's at 12.5...I guess that should equate to ~0.63 volts.

Edit: I forgot to add that my OBD2 scanner reads 0 volts when EvoScan registers the above value.

JcsBanks & AutoXer,

I went back and read your previous posts again, I think i missed some of the info last time around.

So, in summary, regular odb-II logers may report 0% TP at idle while evoscan will report the voltage percentage on a 0-5v scale.

Just to add...my EvoScan shows ~13%, but my Zeitronix logger, which is not OBDII, reads 0%
