no I didn't say notepad... I said notepad++ very different things. or use ultraedit, thats what I use. and press ctrl+H to go to HEx mode, and click ctrl+G to go to the position 0xF52 and press enter. here you will see your ROM number like 8digits, like 24430002. There was a tuning guide floating around somewhere with this in.. I think it is on my www.evoscan.com website under tuning guides.

if you go to
C:\Program Files (x86)\OpenECU\EcuFlash\rommetadata\mitsubishi\evo\
and open some sample xml files you will see this, this is what ecuflash is matching it to. it actually scans ALL of your xml files looking for a match against your rom/hex file.

Sorry but i used the notepad++. now i use the ultraedit! opened the file what i downloaded from my ecu (read from ecu) with evoscan. Searched the 0xF52 in the HEx mode. i think this is the Rom ID 96530006 ??
Please look at my screenshot.

What should i do with this number? i tried to put this Rom ID in the input file download with the evoscan software (Optional ECU Init unlocker code in Hex (i.e. F0F0): 96530006

without succes can not open the file with EcuFlash after downloading with evoscan?

Thanks, Pm sent for your email address.

I've reloaded previous versions of Evoscan, they all give the same error.

and save it in C:\Program Files (x86)\OpenECU\EcuFlash\rommetadata\mitsubishi\evo\
then open ecuflash, and open your hex using ecuflash.

So i need the base xml file in the same folder as the updated xml file? Is that what's stopping EVOscan from showing the map for the map trace function?

Completely new to the data logging/ECUflash community...I have a galaxy tablet and was wondering if ECUflash has an app to run on it instead of a laptop? I know EvoScan has the android tablet but not looking to buy another tabled just for data logging. thanks guys!

I opened your rom, and I saw MKS11 written inside your rom at address 1fefa
so you should edit your MKS11.xml and change this to 1fefa instead.
