Ok so now you are really confusing me. This is stock to S1 right?

So on this chart your S1's are hitting full spool at at about 36XXrpm and peak torque about about 37XX RPM, 21psi @ 3360 rpm

but on this chart you posted earlier the S1's are hitting full spool at at about 41XXrpm and peak torque about about 43XX RPM, 21psi @ about 4000 RPM: https://www.evolutionm.net/forums/sh...9&postcount=24

MAX PSI is pretty darn close on both of them

So what happened between this new chart and the one you posted earlier that made the S1's go from normal spool to lazy? We are talking 600 rpm spool to 21psi differences and about 600 rpm peak torque differences.

Something is really odd with all these charts.

20G was installed for the other graphs i posted. This graph above is my stock cams when i was tuned by AMS to the S1's no turbo or meth.

the graph you posted above is immediately after i installed the cams and dyno'd. This was untuned you could say although JB gave me a baseflash for the S1 cams it wasnt meant to try and tune them due to the fact that my 20G was going on this same week and it would have been a waste of his time to try and tune them.

ok, so I read this whole post, and I'm wondering if anyone has a solid Cosworth Mivec Map for a stock turbo on 91oct? Any help is greatly appreciated.

oh and if it matters, I peak at 24.5psi and taper to about 20psi.

thanks

I hate to contradict what these guys are saying because I have the UTMOST respect for JB and Bryan, but here is my map:

I use this map for both 91 and 100 octane. On 100 octane 26psi I made 340hp and 380 torque (dynojet). Dynosheet is in

Engine mods are:

Works exhaust with high flow cat
ecu controlled boost at 26 psi 100 octane, 20psi 91 octane
works drop in filter with MRFred holes in top cover mod
cosworth mivec cams

Thats it. Stock turbo, stock intercooler and piping. Stock plugs, never messed with em. Literally thats all I have done to the car, exhaust intake and cams.

I dont have a dyno sheet for 91, but I dont normally run it. Im in the full time 100 boat myself. The car was dynoed at hot import nights on the valvoline mobile awd dynojet dyno.

Also, on this same mivec map, I tuned a friends car the day before the hot import nights dyno thing, and he was running 29psi on stock turbo. Only mods he had were burschur intake, buschur exhaust (with test pipe) and cosi cams. Less then 2 grand in parts and a tune.

He made 380hp and 400torque!! This was on the same night as me, about 15 mins after my car. His car took a bit more timing then mine but not much.

At 300load 3500 rpm he was at 7degrees
At 300load 7500 rpm he was at 11 degrees

Both cars running at 11.5 afr on my wideband, my tune was a bit off and the dynojet read me at 11.1 for the best run though.

Food for thought hehe.

Chris, that is basically what I do as well, except I run 0 at 6k as well (depending on mods and car of course)

FYI, 28.8 is max, 30 isn't doing anything more than 28.8

Depends on cams as well. I've been doing alot more mivec M3 cams lately and believe it or not I have made more peak torque with less mivec advance on them.

The last set I gained 20wtq from changing 28.8 to 20.4

btw, this is a really old thread.

ive noticed that a bit lately as well. Even with some of the older Cosi setups... I've back down the Mivec in a few cases and its made the car more consistent and picked up a little bit of spool.

I as of late have been throwing up crazy looking MIVEC maps at different cars to see how it affects the car. The first few times the results were a complete 180 against what i thought they'd do. Now though, it seems that the minor changes are doing a lot better.

Bryan I remember there was a debate at some point in the Mivec thread if 30 was max so I just went ahead and threw it in, I know if anything it would just revert back to 28.8 if anything hehe.

Im wondering if maybe the settings are great for peak torque, but I notice my torque falls quickly. Might try the new maps JB has been using that he posted on another thread. Thats how I got to this one, didnt realize I bumped a really old thread lol!

Im moving up to Reno end of this month and the bay area is alot closer, I might have to come down and visit you one of these days and put my car on your dyno hehe.

Guys,

I've just tuned a IX with Cosworth Cams and a Green... I found that by retarding the cam past 5500 towards zero gradually (I think I ran 22.6 through peak torque) allowed me to run more ignition timing, and picked up 5-10awkw... It also got the power to hold on a bit better too.

Cheers,
matt

Would an fp red on 93 with M2 cams still run pretty much the same map JB has posted even though the red spools later. I'm trying to self tune but keep getting knock. I'm only able to run about 8-9* timing on the top end 7500-8k rpm
