How does it work?

Does that mean that I have to disconnect the rear O2 sensor signal to plug in the UEGO and than simulate the rear O2 signal with your patch?

Am I not compromising the working of the cats by doing so?

Ideally, I'd let it remain like this and use another ADC for the UEGO (if it's actually available)

Thanks

i gather you havn't replaced your front pipe yet?

as far as we know the rear 02 is ONLY for emmisions - in that it checks that your first cat is running ok.

the simulator is normally required for when ppl change their frontpipe (as u will get a CEL) however its useful when wanting to use the rear02 ADC as well (obviously).

yes - leave the sensor connected for the rear 02 heater, and wire up the UEGO to the signal wire.

Yes I have, I have a 2.75' DP with 200 cell metal cat as first cat.

This can be an option, of course. Then I'll try it.

I have only to switch on your O2 simulator in the Mod's Option, right?

U also have to set the correct UEGO formula in EvoScan. The problem is the UEGO formula hasn't been figured out yet.

I have a JDM Evo 8 MR, which doesn't have the rear o2? I have looked several times in the ECU pin out diagram but couldn't find the ADC input. I have no idea where to wire the signal to. FYI, I have a Zeitronix ZT2.

Quick question - since this takes over the rear O2 sensor signal how does that affect fuel trim readings? I assume in order for the trims to read properly (to scale injectors/MAF) this mod would have to be disabled so that the rear O2 signal will be there? I would think though that the signal would be there from the LC1 so it wouldn't matter??

Thinking about this more - since most are running non-foulers for the rear O2 the reading would be skewed anyway. So having the LC1 signal in place of the rear O2 signal woud actually work better trim wise, right?

The rear O2 sensor isn't involved in fuel trims...it's for checking cat efficiency.

Thanks, I wasn't sure if it functioned for both cat efficiency plus trim purposes. What else is involved with trims other than front O2, maf and fuel map (target a/f)?

Any progress on the AEM uego formula? For some reason i can't get evoscan to read anything from my uego. I followed the instructions on the first page along with the formula evo8dad came up with and all evoscan reads is 0.

Can I still do this if I am using the anaolg #2 output (brown wire) for my DB gauge? Can't I reprogram the default output for the analog output #1 (yellow wire) in LM programmer to output the same signal as the default for the brown wire, and use the yellow wire to feed into my ECU???

Thanks for you help and great work figuring this out.

Yep, you can reprogram the yellow wire.

when I try to use the 75 pinout as per the rre page for an evo 8, looks like it is logging afr but it comes out as my rpm. So RPM now mimics the afr chart.

I didn't see anyone else with this issue, what have I botched?

edited to better indicate what is happening

Are you looking at the plug upside down?
