I don't know if it helps in any way (I'm guessing it doesn't) but I can show you how it checks for/works in dsmlink

Thanks, but I can now see where each of the periphery bits controls various subroutines, so that part is handled. There are several hundred references to the periphery bits in the ROM code, so the actual challenge now is understanding what each of these subroutines or functions does. Ack!

Any luck with finding a way to disable the PO300 code?

The latest version of my periphery bits mapping is attached. I've found a few more things:

1) How to disable ign retard during warmup

2) How to disable EGR-enabled ign advance routine

Another way is to set only flags.

ROM 88590015 - I guess any ROM

0000101C Enable_Periphery_Checks: 0/1 - enables/disables checks Periphery 2,3,4

0000101D Enable_O2_Frequency_Ratio_Check: 1
0000101E Enable_O2_Slow_Response_Check: 1
0000101F ? 1
00001020 ? 1
00001021 Enable_O2_Voltage_Check: 1
00001022 Enable_AFR_Check: 1
00001023 Enable_Idle_Control_Check: 1
00001024 Enable_Intake_EGR_MAP_Check: 1
00001025 Enable_Evaporative_Checks: 1

MUT_D1_RAM_Periphery_0
MUT_D2_RAM_Periphery_1
MUT_D3_RAM_Periphery_2

Any chance to disable P0710 through periphery bit? I have switched from 6speed EDM (88840017) with Transmission fluid temperature sensor to 5speed without it. I dont want to keep sensor connected to ecu if possible.
Also same with rear o2 sensor. Maybe someone found how to completely disable P0141 check through bits..

Hi Mr Fred,

Today I switch my ROM 88840013 (USDM) to ROM 88840017 EDM stock version.
My car was bought from EUROPE but the ROM show`s USDM in Ecuflash.
The new version ROM 88840017 is more detailed inside because the last one has less opened options inside.
Do I must change something into the new map in order to be sure that everything works propper using periphety mode?
Please tell me if within this map v1.7, I can remove the "check engine/service engine light (trouble code) without removin it complitely from the car.

Thank you

So I guess if we disable bit 4 of FCA then the p0300 will plague us no more?

EFDF to EFCF bit 4 is the only diff.

The EDM 6spd has a trans temp sensor? really? That is very interesting.
