ROM read & write error.

Urgent need of ROM help.

After a ROM reset. Battery disabled. I am not able to read my ROM.
Have flashed it numerous of times with no problems what so ever ,but now it wont read or write. Car runs fine but i am about to fine tune it so I need everything to be in order.
The Openport 1.3 cable was still in OBD connector when I disabled the battery but that shouldn´t cause any problems?

What could have happened?
I have tried ECU unlocker with no success.

Do you have Evoscan or logging software if so start the car and connect the cable to your port and try to log. If logging fails there is a good chance the cable might be bad. I noticed once before when I left my PC on and cable plugged in and disconnected the battery the radio presets stayed and didn't reset. We use a 9volt battery in a adapter through the cigarette lighter to hold the radio presets when changing a battery. So I'm assuming it works the same way through the OBD port if the cable is connected with your PC on.

I have tried connecting Logworks, Evoscan, EcuFlash with no success.
So my guess is a broken Openport cable.

Put a battery charger on the car for a few minutes and then try to read the ROM. A battery that's a little weak will inhibit reading/writing to the ECU.

But this will mainly happend on an EVO 9 and only with Ecuflash.
I haven't heard about that on an EVO 7 and also not with logging software.
