Yes, Carbon build up. At high RPMs it starts to backfire and bog.

Throwing 2 codes EGR and EVAP system

Instead of getting new EGR i might as well just remove it.

Anyone please help

BTW i have the Vishnu tuning system, i called Turbo Trix and they couldnt do it :/

Any help please!

First, dump the XEDE

Second, EGR doesnt cause carbon build up that would cause backfiring. Thats sounding more like ignition/sprakplug issues

Third, all the codes can be turned off pretty easily with ECU periphery 2. Set the value to 0001, it turns off basically all the emissions checks and the P0300 at the same time. I havent found anything on that periphery worth keeping on other than the last bit.

What is the last bit? Also, i am not sure he will pass emissions in NY with all those codes shut off.

Id like to correct myself - Isnt backfire, more of a bog.

Yeah, i just found that out today. Turning off periphery 2 would get rid of the EGR and EVAP CELs.

But thing is, i got the car with the XEDE on there already. I guess its old now huh?

Ive never done my own ECU tuning either. I dont know HOW to switch off perf 2

If anyone is out there can kind of walk me through this, i know most of the general stuff (software, laptop, etc.)
please send me a PM!

i know the codes will be set from "not ready" to non existant. TUrning OFF Perf 2 will set it so it makes it seem like the car doesnt have a EGR or EVAP system. The inspection computer wont test for it.

If im correct?

has anyone tried to test it yet? I have one of the new snap-on modius scanners at work. I believe that it is able to test the system for emissions readiness. I am going to try this test some time next week.
