check SAS...
when in evoscan.. it cause the car to cut off, once starting car. it idle around 1000rpms... so assume that the BISS screw is good
I have my ac 1 and ac 2 set to 1200 also.
Im still messing around with it, but i'm begining to think i'll have to take it somewhere to get this straight. I did last summer, but go figure I couldn't reproduce it cuz it doesn't do it all the time..
I'm trying to changin my driving habits, i basically have to stay in a gear until I'm almost stopped before pushing in the clutch..

it is still turning off at random when coming up to a light or when engaging the clutch at a high rpm.
if i roll to the light in gear and when the rpms are real low and then engage the clutch it won't shut off.. but it is crazy when coming up to a turn and downshifting into 2nd and the car cuts off. scares the **** out of me every time lol
I am starting to think its more of my ams intake/maf issue.... guess it might be time for a ems/map setup

check the SAS again after makind adjustments..
activating SAS with A/C off the idle drops from 900-1000 to about 700-800
when activating SAS with a/c on the idle drops to about 500-700.

You should be able to log with Mitsulogger without any accessories, lights, radio, etc. on and see where your ISCV steps are at. From what I have been told the ideal range is 20-30 steps at IDLE when the fan is not on. They can be adjusted down to the 10-15 range by turning the BISS counter clockwise to allow more air to bypass the throttle body.
Just make sure that you don't turn the BISS out counter clockwise too far as you will see the ISCV steps get down to 0 and then the ECU will not have any way to adjust steps accordingly based on the stepping tables. There is a middle ground...
Also I believe when the fan kicks on as you idle that the RPMs should dip briefly but then rise...if they immediately rise and don't dip when the fan kicks on I believe that means you have turned the BISS counter clockwise too far. That's what I have noticed.
By letting a bit more air bypass the throttle body it should keep the car from stalling out with the AC on.
Also, I think adjusting the BISS is the "last" resort in trying to fix an IDLE/stalling issue.

I am fighting the same monster. SAS is great with AC off. Holds idle well at about 950 compared to my setting of 1070. I guess I could tweek it a bit more.
I raised the ISCV steps by 10 in the last 2 points. I didn't notice this helping at all.
Big cams, Green, port work, and hard pipes = PITA to get to idle. GRRRR

Has anyone logged load with the A/C on?
I ask because I believe that A/C increases the load on the engine a bit. Therefore, we would need to adjust the timing in the idle area with A/C on to get desired results.
On a stock ROM you can see that in the 60 load range the timing inceases greatly in the idle range. I believe this, very well, could be because of the increased load the engine sees with the A/C on.
SO......Those of us with big cams, turbos, and hard pipes only need to log the load at idle with the A/C on and adjust timing accordingly. Hopefully.

I have my AC issue completly resolved. Below is the things I did to cure it. Yes it is a lot.
Raised Idle zone timing (below 1250 rpm and below 50 laod) to 11
Opened up the BISS quite a bit (opened until I heard it hiss, then back in 1 full turn)
Raised the ISCV for AC on lower two block to 60 and 70
Increased other ISCV tables lower two blocks by about 10 each
Increased AFR in the 500 rpm and 80 load in below to 14.4
Raised the Idle RPM with AC on to 1234
Adjusted idle error tables to start with 0 and go up to 8
Raised idle stability timing control sensitivity to 150

so far I did 90% of the things on there and so far after a 20min traffic drive it didn't cut off on me not once.. with AC on full powa!!!

he tuned it before it go hot and i was using a/c... Sure he could of fixed that though I'm sure...
nonetheless ,,, I'm glad this thread is helping people out.. cuz it was very annoying and dangerous IMO..
I'm still in my testing phase though. Tomorrow I'll know for sure.
