Just ran the 94170015 patch to 7500rpm with no issues. I haven't fully put it through its paces though, just a few WOT pulls to see if it would break up. Check your spark plugs maybe? Might be on their way out.

glad to hear. if you can confirm 320-330 load/26psi/6500RPMS/top of third, with nlts on 150% threshhold, 98% tps threshhold and 1000RPM drop, good to go and operator error. those were my settings when when it would cut out. put nlts to 30% load threshhold, then just turned it off, and it still did it either way.

also:
restore ICS:1
flash ICS/ALT MAP:1
AUTOICS=2
Enable Valet=0
CEL on KNOCK=1
ICS Linger=1
Spary on Knock=1
NLTS: Tried 1 and 0, but flashed ECU with setting on 1 originally, then changed
Auto-Valet=0
Rear02 Sim=0
MAP Averaging=1

i put 5.8 back in and no problems whatsoever. spark plugs are new BPR8EIX's, still gapped at .023 and verified. spark blowout is the most subtle thing in the world compared to this.

i'm scared to retest 5.10 on the road after 4 or 5 violent cuts at 6500rpms lol.

PS: emailed rom+xml to tephra. hopefully its just a freak/op error.

Well, I'm in the 320 load area at around 28psi (slight gasket leak). Haven't tested NLTS but I will today. Are you hitting your boost limit? Since it only goes to 319 load, did you set the boost limit timer to its max value?

This is definitely a step forward for me

I'm down to 1 CEL - EGR.... I think I've previously seen a fix (disable checking) for this, so I'll continue hunting on the forum...

I haven't tested NLTS yet, Stationary Rev Limit is working

Valet doesn't seem to work (all the right indications, but nothing kicks in).

Everything else I can verify as working..... Thanks again Tephra, I'm sooooooo close..... will report back later Got kids to bath......

BTW, I've had a couple of boost cuts - medium boost, 4th gear around 4k.... will log and check my boost limits...

Current settings:

Restore ICS =1
Flash ICS/ALT MAP =1
Enable ALT MAP = 2
Enable Valet =0
Flash CEL on KNOCK =1
ICS Linger =1
Spray on Knock =1
NLTS =0
Auto-Valet =0
Rear02 Sim =0
MAP Averaging =1

EDIT : Boost limit is @ 319, Delay @ 3000........ Will report back with logs after a careful run.....

EDIT: sorry to waste your time there, tephra, this is the issue. (boost limit setting needs to be 319%)

i have an MBC and am not logging/controlling with a MAP. does the ECU estimate boost? i'm hitting full boost/26PSI at 5K.

boost limit is set to 225. could that be it? i noticed my other rom was 300. boost cut delay is 1000ms. i thought this only mattered with ECU boost control...let me know...this could be a problem solved. Thanks JOT.

ECU_PEREPHERY2 change from 8A89 to 8D89 (0x8D89).

That will remove the EGR cel

I have also only just realised valet mode does not work, I didn't test it fully as I noticed the cel was doing it's thing at the right time, I just assumed it was working

That will be your problem

If your hitting higher than 320 load, set the boost limit to 319 (max the ecu will allow) and change the delay cut to 3000 or 3200ms (have seen some ecutek roms with lower boost limits and delay cuts of 6500 - 7000ms )

what is "MAP averaging" and if I wanted to disable lean spool do set both my Boost Enhancement (Anti-Lag) Start RPM and Stop RPM to 1500rpm under the turbo section?

No idea tbh.

0 lets you change some settings such as immob, 2nd 02, knock control on/off, etc etc

1 messes with the comms between the ecu and evoscan (if you change the 9 to an 8 it will stop you getting any info on cels that are stored.

2 EGR is all I know of, but I am sure there are plenty of other things it links to.

3 No idea

For lean spool disable, there is 2 tables on there own.

Lean Spool Start RPM
Lean Spool Stop RPM

Set those to the same or atleast close together (mine are both set at 2500).

Thanks for the info Cossie1

Tephra it's working great More appreciation is on it's way, No CEL

The only issues is Valet Mode. I still haven't tried NLTS, so can't comment.

Having initially reported a couple of boost/fuel cuts, It's been fine while I went for a 15 minute blast.... Slowly becoming more and more aggressive after checking for knock.

I do have a bizarre problem in evoscan... It's reconnecting every few seconds and every now and then stays connected for 30/40 seconds - this is the minority of the time.... As I type this I'm wondering if the G sensor in my Thinkpad (T43p) is shutting the HDD down to "protect" my data! Could well cause this behaviour me thinks?!! Any else had this?

YoungGSR, if you read this I can thoroughly recommend the upgrade! No CEL issues, The default maps within the distribution work well and for me are 'safe' starting points.

Its 100% G sensor shutting down HDD. I had same problem. Disable protection for hdd, and logger will work.

I am sorry to be getting on retarded but the xml you posted I downloaded and I am not seeing the normal setting under Fuel table for lean spool start RPM and Lean Spool Stop RPM
