Just a quick message to say that this routine will be included in my V6 mod.

I am just testing it at the moment.

thanks MrFred for getting the details out and acamus for finding it.

Hey mrfred, I was having some trouble with the mpg portion. The airflow rate g/ms is getting a reading but the "fuel consumption" line shows "infinity" and the "mileage gasoline reads "0". I put speed on top of the mileage gasoline line but I got no changes. Did I miss something? I'd like to post up a screen shot but I don't know how to do that here. Thanks.

What is "fuel consumption"? Is that something included with the EvoScan standard list of items?

If "Mileage Gasoline" reads 0, then that means that either Speed or AFRMAP aren't getting included in the calculation. You've got these items both enabled in EvoScan correct? Assuming the answer is yes, then take a look at the vehicle speed and AFRMAP EvoScan items in the Data.xml file. Make sure that the LogReference is "Speed" for speed and "AFRMAP" for AFRMAP.

That's correct. Fuel consumption was added with EVOscan 2.5. I'm guessing that's not part of the display in this modification for mpg then?

The speed and afr map boxes are checked. Although, I may have checked off the box after the last time I tried to log so I'm going to try again tomarrow(working on the shifter control housing). I am a little confused about which one of these two definitions go before the "Mileage gasoline" line. In the vehicle speed definition, it shows a log reference as AYC_VSSKph? Eh?

<DataListItem DataLog="N" Color="" Display="Vehicle Speed" LogReference="AYC_VSSKph" RequestID="10" Eval="x" Unit="km/h" MetricEval="" MetricUnit="" ResponseBytes="1" GaugeMin="0" GaugeMax="255" ChartMin="0" ChartMax="255" ScalingFactor="1" Notes="" Priority="1" Visible="false" />

This definition here is what I put before the mileage gasoline line:

<DataListItem DataLog="N" Color="#ffad00" Display="Speed" LogReference="Speed" RequestID="2F" Eval="1.2427424*x" Unit="Mph" MetricEval="2*x" MetricUnit="Kph" ResponseBytes="1" GaugeMin="0" GaugeMax="280" ChartMin="0" ChartMax="280" ScalingFactor="1" Notes="" Priority="1" Visible="False" />

Is that correct?

Sounds like you might be working in the "transmission" area of the Data.xml file instead of the "engine" area.

Right. I'm dumb. I forgot this xml has the definitions for all the ECU's available. OK, so is it the "vehicle speed" or the "speed" definition that I have to put on top of "Mileage gasoline"? Just to be sure, the only other "vehicle speed" I found looks like it's the the "OBDII" section of ECU's.

*NOTE* I just tried to log again and it's till not working. BTW, this is a 96940011 ECU I'm working with. I wonder if I'm missing something in the code?

Yes, and AFRMAP too.

There it is! It works. I'm gonna do some logging and see what I can get. BTW, how accurate is this? I'm seeing 13mpg on slow acceleration.

Also interested in this but for 9653, anyone ever do it? Tephra said it would be included from v6 on (now on v7) but doesnt seem to be the case.

This is so sweet! Does anyone know if this is still the process today? I am running 58010105 w/tehpra.

Thanks!
