P0105 MAP Circuit Malfunction

The service engine light has been on for over a week now It first appeared just after starting the car and went to drive out of a car park. It felt like it bogged down more than usual and then bam the light came on. I used scan tech to pull the code and got:

P0105 Manifold Absolute Pressure/Barometric Pressure Circuit Malfunction

I didn't even realise the EDM VIII had a MAP sensor... i've been trying to find a VIII 260 workshop manual, but haven't had much luck.

I have checked the continuity of the wiring from the MAF to the ECU and also what I am guessing is the MAP sensor to ECU.

I searched and couldn't find any info on this code...any help is appreciated

hehe...I really was just guessing! OK, so the MAF and BCS wiring is fine. Now where do I find the MAP/barometric sensor/circuit?

top of the intake manifold. it looks like the sensor pictured in the SpeedElement group buy #3 thread on this or earlier page. 2bolts holding it on to the manifold. you'll spot it right away.

good luck.

The EDM VIII model doesn't have that location on the intake manifold used...where else could it be??

Yeah, the code comes back after I clear it.

I found a manual, only it's not really detailed enough and doesn't mention the baro sensor.

The sensor I pointed out appears to be a wstegate solenoid valve
