Yes it seems that your ecu is locked , did you use Ecu unlocker yet???
will the car be able to start even though the ECU is locked?
i am currently rewiring my car and for some reason all i get is tumbling. i am starting to think its the ECU.

If the ECU has been professionally tuned previously, it's pretty likely it's locked. All the lock seems to do is change the init value so that ECUFlash can't read anything out of it. The locked ECU would not affect how the car runs.
Use the unlocker and then change the init code to 0001 and you should be able to use ECUflash without the unlocker in the future.

so any Evo IX Ecu will be able to start another Evo IX? without any problems?
Thanks again
