I would like to retain my FPR solenoid. I have removed all the EGR/EVAP hoses and solinoids.

Will the FPR solinoid continue to operate if I disable FCA 9, 13, 14 & 15?

EGR delete folks. help. I have a couple posts trying to get some feedback on where I am stuck with the CELs. I have read this and the others 3 times all the way through over the last couple of weeks. There is some confusing detail on evo8 vs evo9, bit 11, 0 is disable, no 1 is disable, but only on an evo8.....

Evo9
All hardware out of the car that was in the engine bay. (so everything except the canister stuff in the back of the car).

Should MrFred code be all thats needed to avoid all CELs?

Code:
<table name="EGR System Enable/Disable" category="Emissions EGR" address="1041" type="1D" level="2" scaling="uint8"/>A value of "0" disables the EGR system and sets the EGR duty to 0% all the time. "1" enables the EGR system.

Or is that only applicable to folks that do the block off plate and leave all the junk in the engine bay and on the IM?

Asked differently. Do you need to apply certain periphery bit disables if you remove the hardware, or is MrFred's code enough?

I don't want to disable periphery's unless its absolutely necessary in case there are tangent functions.

I have MrFred's code, but am pulling P0443 P0403 P0090

Bump and update:
I disabled only P2 FCA 15. One of evoryder's items, and am using mrfred EGR disable code. Two days of that and no CELs back.

however can someone chime in if Mrfred's code should be all that is needed if removing the solenoids? Or is it expected to have to disable periphery bits as well?

Thanks

His code should work the same as the periphery. You're basically stopping the routine from happening where the ecu checks to see if the components are working.

OK, that is what I thought based on my reading so I only did the mrfred code first. Pasted it in for my ROM xml. ecuflash looks as you would expect and I selected 0 for disable. Super simple compared to some other edits. I consistently pulled those three codes. Since I have disable FCA 2 bit 15 I don't have a new code yet.

I'd like to troubleshoot why I am not getting the code to work that others do, though. Can you think of a troubleshooting trial and error set of steps until Mychailo maybe jumps in?

Thanks

If I used the mrfred code why did I, do I, still get the 3 CEL codes. I wanted to know if others had successfully removed all the EGR stuff, and only used that mrfred table def set to 0 and not gotten any CELs. I couldn't. If I also disabled periphery bits then I could stop the CELs.

I actually have both the periphery and the disable code. Never checked them separately.

Hello, after reading this I want to disable EGR in my 88580014 rom, but not remove it from the car. From what I have read the Periphery 0 (FAA) bit11 does not actually shut off the EGR system until the coolant temp passes ~68C, so is there a code for my rom to disable it completely?
