I guess you'll have to use the 5 bar sensor then i believe the cap on a 4 bar is about 43psi, a 5 bar will read 58psi.

Omni Power MAP sensor

I've already tested these out using the AEM EMS and they work great. I haven't had time to play with them using the stock ECU yet. Hopefully in the next week or so i'll get some time to test it out.

thats why its plug and "play".

Omni Power makes these sensors up to 7 bar i think. If there is interest im pretty sure they would offer a 5 bar version. I just really hope this picks up and mrfred uses these sensors for his boost control patches in the future. We can finally have a alternative to the JDM Map sensor.

the problem with higher bar rated sensors is that they often are less accurate.

just like turbo's you are best sizing your MAP sensor so that it fits your setup.

This might be a nice alternative for the Aem 3.5 sensor.

Dont they advertise 10x the accuracy of other 4 bar sensors. And a 0.01 accuracy.

The reading is more sensitive to resolution the ADC then the accuracy of the sensor as most pressure transducers are very accurate.

An 8-bit ADC with a 4bar MAP sensor has a resolution of ~0.01568 bar (or 0.2275 PSI).
A 3 bar has a resolution of ~0.1177 bar (or 0.1706PSI).

That's assuming the sensor uses the full scale of the ADC, which it usually doesn't and actual resolution is usually even lower.

This is a pretty signifigant detail when using a MAP based system as your resolution goes to crap, the fueling becomes very unstable.

Is the MDP input an 11-bit or is this a different input?
