Problem with ecuflash 1.41
I just downloaded 1.41. It is not letting me read, flash or test flash. I even reinstalled it a few times. I never had this problem before. i even removed it and reinstalled an older version. Now that will not work either.

i had this problem with a previous version, i ended with 1.29 which was the only working version. After complete windows new install the newest version worked again.
I never payed attention to this problem. but i guess you have to remove everything then install it again. but what to remove exactly i don't know.

I had the same problem and noticed i cant flash on car thats cold or just been sitting,i run the car for a min or 2 and then it goes thru with out a problem.i have no clue why but i read on here that if the ecu is cold(below freezing) or if the volts are below 12v it wont flash.
ok I will remove the ecu from the car in a few. I am going to check to make sure nothing burned. I have tried to reflash it with another laptop, Still nothing. So I am going to make sure that the volts are above 12 and that the ecu is not cold. Any other suggestions.
If nothing else works I am going to assume that my ecu is now a brick

Don't assume anything...
Start the car... run it for a min, open ECUFlash, open ROM, click red upload button, box appears to shut down car (DON'T), click okay and car should shut off and flashing should start.
I usually have to do this 90% of the time now.

I can not start the car. I was changing the whole map when it failed. So car is dead. It will only crank.
So i am going to bring the ecu inside for a little while so it can warm up. and I will have another car connected to mine by jumpercable to make sure that there is 12volts for the flash.
OK.....

You can also use a trickle charger if you have one available. Jumper cables will work but I am afraid of possibly over charging.

Jumper cables are connected to my wifes GSX. I started the car and kept it running for 10 minutes and was able to read and test write with ECUFLASH. Voltage dropped below 12Volts and would not write to ECU. Charging the car again before another attempt.
