Can you post up your gear table for the 5spd? just leave the 6th map as is for the time being... I need to see what the other values are
In the table where you set the gear for the rpm/mph can you just change the 6 to a 5 (IE make both of the top two left column numbers 5)so that you don't have to set the 6 values the same as 5? .... or is that and the boost header row only pointing to the same number that displays 6? Would it be easier/work to just set the rpm/mph to 0 for gear 6? (it seemed like I was getting a tiny bit of confusion between 5 and 6 while logging).
I'm currently using this, it was surprisingly close the the 6 speed. If I just change the 25 in RPM/KPH to a 0 will it not be able to calculate 6th and only read 5th?
Please note this is just an initial setup with V6, but I have a feeling it is pretty close

Any love for the 2003 Evo's in the pipes Tephra? I know you're still working the bugs out on the other ROMs first, but I'm sure there are a bunch of 9471xxxx guys that would be willing to test for you...
Any reason why this series ROM gives you more grief that others? Do you need a clean stock ROM???

BTW, these numbers were taken as an average from revving ~2k-4k in each gear and excluding outliers. does the RPM/KPH change much from 2k to 7k? If so I'll go back and do a full pull for each gear

ok I was having an issue, but hopefully have found my issues. Thanks fostytou! heres the link.
https://www.evolutionm.net/forums/ec...hra-v-6-a.html
I missed some things in the last couple days I see.
when I first had the issue, I didnt think it was tephra related, (reason it wasnt posted in here) but seems there are a few maps I didnt understand, and left stock, but need to be tuned...
So I have made these changes to be similar to what fostyyou has posted...
So let me see if I understand this now... There are 2 methods, but this is the better of the two?
"rpm/speed to gear" table
25 - 6 just set the 25 to something like 5, so this gear wont be referenced?
48 - 5
51 - 4
54 - 3
73 - 2
105 - 1
1802 - 0
TIA

Fosty - the gear ratio should remain roughly the same over a pull... u can log it and see it changing ever so slightly...
Nonschlont - if you have a 5spd box then set the ratio for the 6th gear to like 1 or 2... something that's never going to occur during normal driving..

I didn't have a chance to read all 11 pages so far, but I'd like to mention something with respect to the rpm vs speed calibration for boost maps. If you are slipping your clutch the engine won't stay locked to the drivetrain and your numbers will change. It should be noted however that clutches can and do slip under normal conditions but if it gets excessive it can cause problems.

hey Dan - yep, but luckily that will only be 1st or 2nd gear, and since the ratio's are so far apart it probably wont matter.
be interested to see the gear log of a slip launch thou
eTiLiko - yes, i dont think its 30hz thou... but yes higher resolution for the wgdc
