2) If your car doesn't come standard with a MAP sensor, then just plug it in and get the scaling in EvoScan right and your sweet!!!
I have the JDM 3 bar map sensor on my USDM Evo IX. I also have the GM 3 bar map sensor attached. The GM 3 bar sends 0 to 5 volt signal based on pressure from the manifold to the innovate LMA-1. The LMA-1 sends the signal to the LM-1 and from the LM-1 the signal goes to my laptop where it is logged by logworks. I cannot log the GM 3 Bar with Evoscan 0.99 that I still use.

Evoscan 2.5 does not log the GM 3 Bar AFAIK. It seems that the 2.6 does that, but how is the signal taken from the GM 3 port and fed into Evoscan? Is Hamish using the LMA-1/LMA-2? That is what I am asking.

The reason for my question is that Mitsu has capped the boost signal from the Evo X's map sensor at ~22.2 psi. So we need to either uncap that signal by changing the rom or log boost from outside the OBDII port. I am thinking that Hamish is doing that, but I want to know what hardware is he using.

The Evo X has a JDM 3 bar map sensor. I am logging the boost with PCMScan and the boost flatlines above 22.2 psi. It is the same map sensor that we use on the Evo IX with the mods from mrfred. So I know that the sensor can log more than 22.2 psi. But Mitsu capped the output from the sensor for some reason.

If the GM 3 Bar is connected to the ECU, then how is that done. I have not read about it. Perhaps I missed the thread.

Its wired up like a regular MDP/MAP sensor, same 3 wires...

Is the X MAP sensor actually limited to 22.2psi, OR is your scaling in the ECU screwing things up?

How do you log? via MUT? if so which one? 38??

yes the X is limited to 22.2psi. But there is a way around that. I have the info to add to the xml but unsure how to do it

Maybe tephra can show you how!!

Seriously, wasn't gunzo and sic testing the patch to add to the rom. What happened with that?

Tephra can you please help. I can send you a usdm rom from a 5 speed GSR, if that would help.

It belongs to a friend of mine. If you can e-mail me at ndahi@charter.net so I can send you the rom. It is too big to upload to the forums.

Just a few questions... I do have the tatrix cable, and when I start using EvoScan to tune my EVO X, will I need a boost guage to read higher than 22.5 PSI? Also I have read in a different thread that the EVO X has a wideband O2 sensor. Is this true? If not true, what wideband O2 sensors will work with EvoScan? Last when do you think EvoScan will be released? Thanks for the hard work getting this logger out to the public!
