No start after flash (experts please)

Today I was out doing some tuning and had something very strange happen. Leading to a flatbed ride home.

I was only my 4th and final flash for the evening before heading back home. I have v1.3x and have never had a problem in the past. The only thing new today was the removal of evap and fpr solenoid. This is exactly what was done.

Periphery 0/FAA:
-EGR(ign advance) Bit 11 disable(some people leave it on, up to you)

Periphery 2/FCA:
- EVAP> Bit 13,14,15 Disable
- EGR > Bit 9 Disable

Periphery 4/FEA:
- FPR> Bit 7 Disable(When you also disable FCA/P2 Bit 15 that will also take care of the FPR) all are completely removed from the car and the car was running fine for 25 or so miles and I had started the car at least 5 times.

Upon my last flash the car would not restart. It cranks and thats it. I do not have stock coils I have sparktechs non cdi. Nothing other than above had been changed.

What I have done:
It has gas, a little over 1/4 tank.
I checked plugs 1 and 4 both are dry.
pulled return line off an it has fuel pumping on crank.
I logged to make sure rpm is reading (about 1k on crank)
I tried removing map from ecu and re writting my last known "good" map
I tried putting on an old map with out the perph listed
I tried leaving the battery unhooked for an hour then re connecting and installing previous known good map.

Still not starting. I can hear the ecu during write, I can hear a click after the write is done. Still no start.

Now this is dumb, Im not sure if I waited entirely during the last write before it didn't start before trying to crank. It was only a split second but Im not sure if I made a hasty mistake or not. Can anyone please assist me in this? Any and all help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks Matt W.

I had this same problem before with mine- no rhyme or reason to why it happened, but it did. I downloaded a stock hex/bin file from evo wiki and flashed that into the ecu. After I did that it worked. Somehow or another my file got corrupted and my car wouldn't start- just crank and crank. Try getting another file to flash to your car- that should work.

I did, I flashed an old file that I had on my computer from the tune ams did two years ago. Or are you saying one that has never been used on my car before and then transfer all of my data over to it?

Ive never changed the rom its always been 94170008. I have just saved it under a different name if I make a major tuning change. I only changed fuel and ign in the last four times I have flashed it nothing else and it worked every time.

This is my rom

well the only think I can think of is your injector settings are wrong...

and that last time the car worked was because the trims had managed to get them within 'running' ...

pretty far out guess thou..

Its possible, this tune came from a car that has been running for over a year with almost identical mods. and made over 500hp which I am under due to lower boost.

I am not challenging the idea and am willing to make a change if neccasary. Just need to be pointed in the right direction.

On a side note I have gone back to an two different ams tunes and this one and none are starting wouldnt it suggest that the injector settings are correct or it wouldnt have been running for the last three years?

Not to mention I have also put over 2k miles on the above tune without so much as a hiccup. The only thing I changed yesterday were wot values. All idle and startup tables have been left alone. I did remove fpr, and evap solenoids yesterday and entered said values in the Periphery table

what injectors do u have? what are you scaling and latencies? - long shot but it cant hurt...

what do you mean you removed the FPR? can that even be done?

as I said b4 its best you return the car to the previous state, ie hardware AND ecu/rom...

then you can work out which change broke it

Try a brand new file- from wiki or aktivematrix. I tried leaving my ecu unplugged over night and didn't do anything. The problem was resolved after flashing a new file into the ecu. Make sure when you do your flashes that you wait 15 seconds or so with the ignition off before trying to start the car. Is your SES light coming on with ignition on- if not you may have a blown fuse or no ignition power to ecu- ran into that before too.

It does have an ses light on when ignition on. On the bright side I pulled every fuse under the dash and found one blown. Replaced and it fires. Its rough since everything is a mess from trying so many different things but it fires which is a huge relief. I checked the fuses under the hood the other day and never checked under the dash since it was dark and on the side of the road. Thanks to everyone that helped!

Under the dash there are two if I remember correctly. One is a ten and one is a 7.5. The ten in the upper left hand corner. First fuse. It was that one. All of the other engine fuses were fine.
