I wouldn't worry about using this scaling formula. Your best bet is to find out who has the same injectors as you and start with their values if their car is well tuned.

MFRED, need your help. Please look at my recently created post here in ECU Flash. https://www.evolutionm.net/forums/ec...l-failure.html Its about scaling issues possibly. No one has FIC 1350cc Injectors. I called FIC, gort the scalings for the 1250's and the 1450's and did the math to what I have now. I was hoping there was a way that you guys had found to actually see if my scalings were on, other than the excellent trims I am seeing.

I know how to update my rom metadata file. Question is, when I did this, I see the new scaling size. Does this change anything in the tune, just updating this definition? Or is the new scaling size just a number, meaning what I have tuned so far as to how the ecu reads it?

I use both the Mitsu scaling for reality and the EvoM/Tactrix eval for common reference back into EvoM world threads etc.

I also include a raw hex saling and that is the one I increment or decrement to change the injector size as the eval is a divisor and so there is no one best correct increment valve.

Dont know for sure how long Mitsu have been using this eval but I can see it as far back as 1988 on the Galant VR4 4G63.

So it would be better to tune using the Mitsu original calculation in older metadata, or use the new one listed above?

Also, Merlin, can you please take a look at this issue, and explain why just size scaling would yield these results? https://www.evolutionm.net/forums/ec...l-failure.html
