Can you email me offline your XML along with your ROM?

Yes all of them include the correct XML's. All of my downloads include an entire XML definition, it does not include anything from your existing definitions so it makes sure everyone can see the exact same thing.

Back again... still no results with the darn PSi based direct boost control I'm running a 96531706 (SD + Tephra mods) on a '05 with a Perrin 3-port EBC.

All the entries in ECUFlash needed for PSi based system are correct based on the notes in the drop down menu in ECUFlash (I've checked them about a 100 times by now). Still getting no response boost wise with WGDC changes. I've tried as low as 30 up to 100 but, still nothing. Boost peaks at about 22.8 to 23 regardless of what is in the WGDC tables.

I have zero'd out the boost adder tables as suggested by Mr Fred in his direct boost control thread for initially dialing in the boost.

Anyone else having issues with this 96531706?

Look for "JDM Map" in EvoScan and what the formula is for you BDEL tables. Both should be ~14.7 for the subtractive value (aka C) (or whatever your local atmospheric pressure is).
In EVOScan the formula appears correct but, I don't see a formula in the BDEL or BDEP .xml line. There is a reference to scaling, which is the JDM 3 bar but, not specific formula noted??

Damn this can't be this confusing, can it.... Mr Fred's explanation of the system, how it works and how to tune is very straight forward yet, I still can't get any results.

Working on 9417 phenem mods tonight and phenem mods with SD implemented.....will post and update second post when finished.

Does everyone with a USDM 8 run an Omni 4 bar or the JDM 3 bar? I am trying to get a feel if I should make an SD ROM for both the JDM 3 bar and Omni 4 bar implemented.....I personally run the Omni 4 bar so that would be easiest

What does everyone think Omni 4 bar or JDM 3 bar?

i think if you just link the settings page for the JDM, and then build it with the Omni. Seems like most people with SD are on the Omni... or most people i have dealt with. I built an VIII and IX rom using all 3 sensors just in case. Makes things quicker.

OK guys, updated the second post with 9417 mods and SD/SD-JDM ROM's. Please read the notes carefully as I made three ROM's.

1 - v7 with mods for Omni 4 bar MAP
2 - v7 with mods and SD for Omni 4 bar MAP
3 - v7 with mods and SD for JDM 3 bar MAP

For options 1 and 2 I set the Omni as follows:

- Setup the boost to read 12 to 42 psi (that way it goes all the way to 42 psi in the psi based boost control) if you want it back to 0-30 just change the scaling back on all of the boost tables.

- Set the boost adder to 14.1 + 12 = 26.1 psi This is done because of the following table:

altitude (ft) local atmospheric pressure (psi)
0 14.7
500 14.4
1000 14.2
1500 13.9
2000 13.7
2500 13.4
3000 13.2
3500 12.9
4000 12.7
4500 12.5
5000 12.2
6000 11.8
7000 11.3
8000 10.9

I am at 1200 ft. so I set my adder to 14.1 + the adjustment (12) to get the 26.1 boost adder. You need to adjust this boost adder to your altitude you will be tuning at. After you do this you will need to adjust your EVOScan Omni MAP formula. If you leave the formula just like mine (26.1) then the formula for EVOScan for the Omni MAP will be: 0.2369*x-14.1

If you want this all back to normal just change all the scalings on the boost maps to be Omni4BAR without the Adj at the end.

The old 88591715 XML file that was inlcuded from the previous 88591715-V7-SD release interferes with the new TephraMOD-88591715-v7 XML that you included in the new download. For people who have downloaded the new 88591715-V7-SD release and are still unable to see the SD tables, go to your XML folder and delete the 88591715 XML. Big thanks to tephra, phenem, recompile, scheides, and bigric09!

Yes, anytime there is an update you have to delete your old XML and put in the new one. If you don't you will not see the new updates.
