ahh i completely forgot about ur code andy.... i have it on my computer... i will have a look at it again. hopefully i can make out enough to write up OP2 code to work my VB spaghetti code.

i am fixing up my vdr code... plus i want to do be able to read the rom file to setup axises for tables automatically.

ok just a teaser... this is just the GUI stuff... there is a lot of code that needs to be done so dont expect the program to be available soon.

this is how the live map VDR screen will look like, where it says title.. it will display the max rpm/torque/hp.


changing run specific settings like gear etc


changing vehicle settings, these settings are permanent and hence do not need to be modified during a session. the car which is selected is the one logging for.

Very nice work, ziad. One suggestion would be to add the option to include timing as well. Everyone always asks for boost, afr, and timing for dyno plots. Having it all in one place (or the option to show it or not) would be perfect.

eric, i will look into that but i think its getting cluttered with 5 lines... plus 2 more for comparison VDR... maybe i can put more buttons to enable/disable the extra data display.

with my vdr it will work pretty much live, depending on the computer, it might be best to disable the screen display and knock trace. but once you go full throttle (%TPS customisable) the program goes into data gathering mode... once you let go of the throttle the program will calculate the dyno and then display it.

this part is almost done.. need to varify my code. the stuff below is not done yet (hence the comparison settings are greyed out)... i went for a drive to test out the program... only to find i have car issues, hopefully fix it tonight.

the "load file" button, can do an offline VDR graph. the combo box with "dyno log id" will have previous VDRs on it so you can compare current graph with a previous run... obviously as u start the program u start with a empty list (maybe i could give option to save some logs to disk and have them populate the list automatically.

just a quick question will you provide an other tab that allows access to the rest of the dma address, i.e. for the SD stuff? which is in the 96533706 rom?

andy... i presume u mean SD rpm ve and map kpa, and map ve tables??? if so then the settings there are rom based. the rom xml i had loaded was for a non-sd rom.

Well, It's been a while since I've had time to play with my ECU..

I'm still on the 96530006 5.10 ROM & really don't have any interest in switching to a V7 but would like to get it working with this new app, which is looking very nice by the way.

I have started making an xml file trying to add all the RAM tables into the app & so far have things somewhat working. I can read & write Fuel, Timing, MUT & Inj size.

I don't think I have the correct addresses for the boost tables & am also not sure if I've added the SD tables correctly as well...Live Graph doesn't seem to work either.

I've tried looking for this info as I thought it was posted but cannot seem to find it. I am hesitant to shell out the money for IDA, then get discouraged & not ever use it.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.
