hi thanks for that, i don't have any values in any of my ram addresses I wonder if thats the problem, where do you get them from? Also the VE formula looks different in the xml than is does on the screen.
i don't have a separate VE value in my mut table I just made it the same as load ie item 0 as 0 - F are already been used
thanks
Andy

Andy,
I must apologize, I think I am still on the wrong track myself, and I just realised that you have an 8. I don't know why I thought you were using 8858 ROM, I either need to go to bed earlier or get up later .
Sorry if I have wasted too much of your time. If nothing else we may have bumped the thread enough that someone who knows something might help you out.

check the 'Setup Ram MUT Table From Rom' box, click 'OK'. Then close ELM and reopen it. Your RAM addresses should be configured now in RAM.
if you have the full version of ELM, save to Rom so that your ROM is now confuigured correctly.
cheers

andy u know my email??? send me your livemap folder from "documents" and can u please tell me what you do. so i can trace it. actually i will see if i have your email and send you one
i havent looked at the SD code in ages, but i am pretty sure it does not need a VE% request. what it needs is a table called VE (which i gather you have) and ensure that your MAP is in kPa. this checkbox basically enabled a map tracing feature on the VE table.
i have no idea why it would crash. also does it crash when you tick the checkbox or when you click start???

Hi Ziad
thanks i'll send you across the folder asap, it crashes when I click start, clicking the SD box is fine , I'll capture a screen shot of the info also to try and help.
07EvoIX, the rest of ELM works faultlessly and I use it all the time for logging and graphing (every time i'm in the car) just have this small niggle with the SD trace then all would be good.
Thanks

ohh sheee, andy i completely forgot about u mate. sending email.
OP2, i havent had time to test and implement it. i have some code, and i started modifying it, but it stopped working. then i reverted back the changes i made and it still didnt work. plus i dont have a ecu bench harness so i have to do code, then goto car and then run it then find it doesnt work.. and it gets slightly cold here at night (winters still)....

Hey, Donner did a 88586714 rom that I have been testing with a smaller VE map, I would like to transition to live mapping. Ive been keeping an eye out as mentioned above for a 1.3 cable. I will buy a 1.3 very shortly. I would love to be able to test this out. I am rereading things and working up the base knowledge. Hopefully i can help.
I would need a ELM xml since I'd be far to new at it to constitute my own but.. hope to help!
AFAIK he has not uploaded this rom to his website, however if somone wants to check it out Ill help.
New VE map is 19 x 23 .
