logging boost with aem tru boost

so im trying to log boost with my tru boost into evoscan and i bought a serial to usb cable and bought a serial port and connected the logging wires from the gauge to it... i have a uego and tru boost and read that you have to connect the blue logging wire to the 2nd port on the serial cable and then a ground wire to the 5th port... now i plugged it in booted up evoscan and plugged in my boost to log and it was way off said 47lbs at idle... so figured maybe something was wrong with the wire but i plugged my uego in and it worked perfect so i dont know why the boost wont work right... does the boost logging wire need to be tapped to a different port???

any help is much appreciated

Does the tru boost even have serial logging? I'm 99% sure that second plug is for plugging in an external AEM pressure sensor.

i should mention it is the gauge display only not the boost controller type so my wiring is different then the above diagram you posted... i have 4 wires red black blue white... red power black ground blue should be for logging and white for an aem ems

AEM's website says: One (1) low-side output included for warning lights

I don't believe you can log tru boost.

JDM MAP or any other boost sensor wired in to the MDP sensor slot.

However, if you have the "boost digital display gauge/ boost pressure gauge" then you CAN log it via serial (the tru boost is a boost controller, you think you have the wrong product)

Reading the instructions as one normally does points you to their forum for advanced installation instructions.

That said, i'm not sure how you would interface this with Evoscan unless you tricked it into reading it as WDB and changed the calculation. If this was the case you would not be able to log another external wideband. You could optionally wire it through the rearO2, or fuel temp ADC input, but logging a JDM Map would be just as easy.

If it is just the gauge and not tru boost, you might try the Aem forums.

you guys are correct i was under the assumption that it was still called a tru boost even without the boost controller but now i see that it is just a disital display gauge.... on those instructions it says the blue wire is for a rs232 which is a serial port so it should be able to log through a serial cable, i posted on the aem forums with no luck so far, just hoping someone on here has done the same or tried
