^^^ Looks like 2-byte load was discontinued with this new ROM (sigh, I forgot that I read that weeks ago), and EVOSCAN was using AUTO for the load axis. Switched to 1-byte load and everything is making sense as of now. Looks like propper AFR's and timings are being used. I'll continue to try and figure out the issue I am getting with throttle hang / excessive knock when moving to v7. I'll try the 96530006 version to see if I have any luck there.

Mines,
only on acceleration under load. It's not the typical throttle hang when you let off gas and the engine continues to fuel too much and the rpms "hang". What happens is around 5000 rpm the engine can't get past this point easily. At this point sometimes the car knocks, sometimes it doesn't. This also happens with the other v7 rom, but even sooner around 4500 rpm.

UPDATE *
Solved the problem. At the same instant i was having 2 xmls for 96530706 1 was for evo 8 and the other was for evo 7 which was some how causing that problem. As soon as i removed the evo 7 XML from rommetadata evo folder the throttle hang on accel was gone.

No clue what issue is...still
Car stalls/rev's get stuck at high RPM during WOT---not a fuel cut, not a rev limiter of sorts in any way. Tried disabling NLTS and all other v7 features with no luck. AFR's in check (11-12's), and ignition timing checks out too; not hitting boost cut at all either, injector duty cycles look good... I have tried the speed density and non-speed density ROM's (94170715 and 94171715), as well as 96530706 (non-speed density) with the exact same issue at high RPMs under load.
I am attaching a log of me attempting to get through 1st gear. As soon as I hit high loads at high RPM the throttle hang happens. This does not happen going to high rpms at low loads.
What I see in the log is that when the rev-stuck happens, the load decreases even though my TPS is at 100% and my tune should hold 290 load around 5000-5500 RPM's but the loads continue to decrease until I let off the throttle.
Car makes an intake spitting sound when this happens.
Any help would be greatly appreciated!

Can you please try you disconnect your ECU based boost control and try mbc. And take a run.

I just got my 03 Evo about 3 weeks ago and I have been reading up about flashing the ecu and using evoscan for a little while now. I have a couple questions to make sure I'm understanding everything correctly. My car is completely stock with the exception of a full exhaust.
What I've done so far:
-I've saved my stock rom.
-I got the correct V7 rom and XML file stored properly.
-I've added the MUT table code to the V7 XML file (I didn't see the MUT table in the V7 Rom).
-I opened up the V7 rom and compared it to my stock rom and everything looked the same, with exceptions of the fuel and timing maps being slightly different but nothing I think worth changing.
-I copied the immobilizer value from my stock rom to the V7 rom. The immobilizer hex and init code was the same so I didn't have to change those.
At this point my questions are:
1. My stock rom's ECU Internal ID is 94170015 and the V7 rom is 94170715. Do I need to worry about that?
2. With all the things I've done so far, am I ready to flash the V7 rom to my car? Is there anything else essential I'm missing?

I recently switched to the 94170715 rom and i'm running into a lean condition on take off while normal driving. ive seen a few people mention it but no fix has yet been found to my knowledge. does anyone know what this issue could be I have already tried increasing the asynch accell vs rpm as well as increase my map sensor ve calibration by 8% in the 101kpa range which has seemed to help some but the problem is still there. any thoughts?
