Its been extremely cold and snowy here, but I'm happy with fix#2, haven't touched it in a week or so.

After intial testing of fix #1, I flashed back to normal maf operation and haven't had time to test again because of the cold, etc.

For anyone testing #2 and #3, is there any chance that you can get some logs like I have shown in this thread? That will be definitive proof on how well each fix works.

I think one of the next weekends that isn't too cold, I am going to switch to SD for good, and I would like to know which fix works the best, without having to test them out myself. ; )

I wanted to more but since its snowed and salted the roads. So I put the car away for the winter. Sorry I cant help more.

I will say that tho I felt no jutter on the 3rd fix. But I only had about 20-30 minutes of driving time. It was about 45* out at the time.

I'm currently running fix #2 (haven't gotten to try fix #3 yet) and I've noticed only a very slight stutter (almost unnoticeable) before I retuned my RPM VE. After resetting my VE I haven't had any hesitation at all.

9417 wasn't offered for the '05 model, so if that's the rom that's on there someone physically flashed it on. Why not just run the 9653 rom?

We're running a completely different rom version on our standard evo8 ECUs, and this is an issue with that rom, or something common throughout the evo8 roms. We're all running it so we can run tephra V5 and higher. It's a universal rom that works on all evo8s. Search around on this.

Anyone else have any feedback on any of the various fixes? I'm still happy with #2.

I tried fix#2, and it still does it, it just may have tamed it down a little.

Hadn't listed it before. Below are all three possible fixes for 8859. Fix #1 combines Fix #2 and Fix #3. Would love to get your feedback on which is most effective.

Code:
<table name="SD Stutter Fix Option #1 (Set Over/Under Flag for MAF Signal Averaging Val)" category="Speed Density Programming" address="122c" type="2D" level="2" scaling="uint16">
  <table type="Static Y Axis" elements="1">
    <data>Stock = 205                   For Fix Option #1, Set = 255</data>
  </table>
</table>

<table name="SD Stutter Fix Option #2 (Set Scaling Factor for Transition Load)" category="Speed Density Programming" address="1230" type="2D" level="2" scaling="uint16">
  <table type="Static Y Axis" elements="1">
    <data>Stock = 112                   For Fix Option #2, Set = 0</data>
  </table>
</table>

<table name="SD Stutter Fix Option #3 (BT -> NOP for DeltaMasterLoadPos/Neg Threshold)" category="Speed Density Programming" address="2a972" type="2D" level="2" scaling="Hex16">
  <table type="Static Y Axis" elements="1">
    <data>Stock = 0x8909                   For Fix Option #3, Set = 0x0009</data>
  </table>
</table>

None so far since everyone has gone to 9653 to run the Tephra v7 roms. If you're not running speed density and using the stock maf, I doubt any of this would help you out anyway. If it's jittery with the maf on, it's something maf and airflow related, not an IPW dropout issue.
