You can trust scheides. Look who wrote the very first post of this thread.
14.5 psi is not that bad idea for a stock evo

ok! scheides start and wrote the very first post of this thread and I am not doubting anything from what he is saying.

I am just trying to figure out why Tom said I'll be fine but scheides says that can't be.

Maybe has something to do with JDM and USDM etc ?

Ah! so you have a JDM map sensor, and it's a 3 bar so yeah it's okay

But no, 14,5psi is not a good idea even on a stock evo, unless you want to produce 240hp instead of 280hp

Yes! I said in my previews post that my car is JDM IX. I didn't know it was 3 bar...i thought was 2. Anyway.

My car bone stock, from the factory was 11.6 psi and produced 282hp. I am not lying and I have no reason to lying about it. Actually still it is producing 282hp at 11.6 psi since the first tuner I went didn't touch much the stock map, he just did the alternative maps.

????????

Might be. Would be surprising but might be.

Just asking...I don't really know that things. My evo 9 JDM has this stock 2 bar map sensor and I asked Tom from tscompusa if I need to upgrade to go SD and he said "no" I don't need to upgrade. And I am sure he is going to tune it more than 14,5 psi

Am I missing something?
No i prefer a omnipower 4 bar. I have like 40 of them here in stock. I stock them for a reason.

I don't want you to use the stock map sensor. I think we misunderstood each other.

If he want to save money for other parts, a Jdm 3 bar is plenty enough for boosting 23-24 psi with a safety margin

Reduce RPM VE until the car's running fine again. Do you have stock injectors?

Oh God! I also send you a photo of the intake. You are so busy it's ok Tom, no problem. So, If I don't do SD, do I need the omnipower 4 bar? Are you going to do it more than 23-24 psi?

check your emails pls.....we need to talk

thx

.....by the way I just remember that my car is now start boosting at 20.5 psi and goes up to 26.5 psi.

So i think is not just boosting at 23-24 psi. I guess is 2 bar sensor, so is 29 psi!!

Have anyone try it on a JDM car or you all talking about USDM?

Ive tuned plenty of JDM evos on speed density.

No you do not need to touch the map sensor if you're using a maf.

If you want to log past whatever the map sensor is capable, thats the only time you need to change it on a maf

I just have people upgrade to 4 bars to give a good range on SD for later use. you dont want to small vs to big when the map sensor is that important.

For MAF tuning you can leave it alone though.

Even on SD like he wants to go a JDM 3 bar is plenty enough and safe unless he have the setup and fuel to go over 26-27psi
Don't even know why we are arguing about that, or are we not?
