FP Black sale - $1749 from FP

I never read the general section, but noticed the title and clicked to see. Turns out FP is having a sale on the FP black...$1749 brand new. It's taking every ounce of strength I have not to jump in on this, since they said it's only first 20.

Just wanted to share the info for everyone else in this subforum that may be looking for a new turbo. Get in before I do before the sale is over.

Seriously, though, I think it's a great deal. If it wasn't the middle of winter, I would jump right on it. I still don't have a double pumper yet, either, so there are a couple miscellaneous things that I would need first anyway. Clutch, too.

I am maxing out the stock turbo, so I'm definitely in the market for a new one. But, this timing is just a little off. I would probably blow up my engine with the black anyway. I'd be running E85 and trying to max out the black. I don't think my stock block would like me for too long. Although, shifting the torque curve to the right some would definitely help. I think 500 whp on the stock block can be safe, if tuned properly, for a long time. Heck, I'm hitting 400 tq on my stock turbo now...I can just move that 400 tq later in the RPM band, hold it longer, and make a ton more power....hmmmm....

Stop talking me into this.

yep, plenty of customers on 35R making 500-550awhp and 425tq at higher rpm doing just fine

Do it. I talked to Amber this afternoon. I'm going to see if I can break my 167mph in the Tx. Mile.

I have a FP Black ported sitting in a box in my closet. With my current setup it will make well into 500 on pump gas

Its only about 10% off. Didn't think it was that exciting of a deal. $1500 would be a killer deal.
