One last question, I am thinking of reinstalling my stock injectors for the sole purpose of getting my maf scaled correctly using the tutorial in this sub forum. When I did my build I obviously changed my entire intake setup around but also put in the bigger injectors at the same time causing me to have to adjust them both. Putting my stockers back in would eliminate one of the two varibles since I know they will be scaled correctly, does this make sense and sound like a good start?

where the heck did you get those injector latencies and voltage? Off the top of my head, the WRX has their voltage setup like 6.5v, 8.0v, 9.5v, 11.0v, 12.5v, 14.0v, 15.5v and the latencies are something like 9ms, 6ms, 3ms, 1.5ms, .6ms. Search the nasioc forum for the latencies for the light blue wrx injectors. Cobb also made a spreadsheet online somewhere for the high impedance injectors

This is what im saying its all f'ed up, are you saying maybe I should get the stock injector latencies then try to tune my maf that way? Thats not a bad idea either.

You should use the WRX latencies. Does your car take more than one crank to start? Fixing the latencies will help remedy that.

BTW, I noticed that you posted a small map. Is that the stock Lancer rom, just scaled to 160% load? Are you logging the load from Evoscan? Is the load % is the correct formula for your car? or if it is in the same "read" area as an Evo ecu? Can the lancer rom interpolate load?

Yes this is the pathetic base lancer maps lol. I log ecuload which is the most accurate for our cars. I am not sure what you mean by interpolating load, I adjust my maps according to the load and rpm I see in my logs

I read online (cant trust everything you read online) that non-turbo ecus wont understand load >100. So even tho you scaled your map to 160 load, the Ecu doesnt know what boost is. I cant tell you if thats true or not, since I went with the Evo ecu. My stock galant rom, when I defined it, had 260 load in the last cell. Making me think that that was put there just in case the car ever read past 100 load. *shrug*

Ok so I found where to download stock subie roms and found that stock 440s are rated at 420cc and have 6.5v, 9.0v, 11.5v, 14.0v, 16.5v with latencies of 2.79, 1.49, .98, .68, .38 so I am going to try and leave these as is and just move my maf scaling to get my trims right although I have a feeling my maf settings will be wayyy high but here goes

ok so just got back doing a trip trying to scale the maf with the stock wrx injector settings. BUST, to say the least, even with the maf at MAX of 255 in the 0-100hz range it was STILL sitting at +12.5% LTFT Low plus set off a CEL for system too lean. I just dont know what to do here maybe I should just take it to a pro I have probably wasted enough gas over the last couple months trying to figure this out to pay for a F#@*ing tune. Sorry just getting very tired and annoyed at this whole tuning thing. I guess I can still swap in my old injectors and try from there

Dude dont give up. Thats just giving into the BS. Ill be in the same boat your in eventually when I start messing with scaling, fuel trem, etc.

Why dont you get rid off the WRX injectors and try some evo7 injectors or evo8s?

Ya I never give up lol I just get frustrated then maybe toss a couple things lol then take a break then start again. I have the wrx because they are drop in replacements. To use evo injectors I would have to do some rewiring and add some resistors among other things for them to work. I think someone is telling me something, I decided to lower my scaling with the same latencies and then now my keys have vanished lol. I am the only one home and it was like 10 mins from the time I came back so I have been on a break.

lol yea man, everyone gets to that point. **** i havent even started tuning my car yet. I was planning yo all this weekend, but i got a AMS 3 bolt outlet that doesnt fit the invidia testpipe. So no AEM UEGO installed=no fuel logging. I was pretty irritated when I found out i had the a Dp that didnt fit. Its even more irritating because I did 2 logs and im getting 11 counts of knock starting from like 3500k and droping off from there to redline. I cant tune any thing because i want to tune fuel first, i know thats the main reason its knocking. Crappy stock tune.
