Finally people are starting to catch on that there is more to tuning than WOT pulls. you would be amazed at the drivability increase you can gain.
As for my method of "stead state"....I live in a very hilly area. We have some very long even grade hills. I can hit them both ways and hold rpm steady, as other have said, with the brake and the gas at the same time......takes some practice let me tell you....right foot braking isn't easy.
But you can effectively tune for all conditions using this method. I usually tune in the early AM when not many cars are on the road. I know it is dangerous, but without a dyno in my area I really have no other choice.
HMMM.....maybe Paul needs to open a dyno shop in the Cincinnati area.

OK. Here is an example of what I'm referring to; not these exact numbers necessarily, but the general concept.
Why would a load based tune like this not work in an EVO ECU? If I can understand why this won't work, I think I will have a better idea of why the EVO is tuned as it is.
