P0443 problems?

Over winter I ported my intake manifold (MAP) and throttle body (MIL.SPEC) and everything came out great.

I blocked off my EGR and took both solenoids out and all vaccum lines.

I got P0443 code and then I disabled the EGR system and it still keeps coming back. I checked and the egr is still disabled.

Am I missing something? The car runs great.

BUMP! I'm having the same problem on my evo VIII, I disabled the egr just how it said to in the evap removal thread on here and I'm still getting a p0443 as well. I'm also having a hard time figuring out how to access the periphery bits on my evo VIII, my buddy's evo IX has no problem accessing them and we still haven't been able to figure out my ecu.

Make FCA bit 15 "0" in your ROM.

Here is instruction for addin the periphery bits to your ROM.

What ROM are you using? Regular version or Tephra mod version?

Well I know the Tepha mod has MRFREDs EGR disable/enable patch. I dont know if it can/how to apply it to a regular ROM.
