Unknown rom id..some help
Hey guys, i have tried searching the previous posts but after 2 hours I just can not figure this out.
I try to use the tephra v7-96530706 for my 2005 evo8 rs and everytime ecuflash says "unknown rom id" than i have to select from three choices.
What I did was take the xml file from tephra v7 and put that into my rom id(96940011). Tried to read from ecu and "unknown rom id" pops up.
I tried to insert the same tephra file into the evo7_base just to play around with it but same darn thing. I know I have to change the hex id once i can get it to open but right now thats my trouble. I don't think this is an issue but when i go to ecuflash and open an old one , go into misc then click on immoblizer it says "D2". So i select all and paste it into notepad and its 53761.
Any help...
I know this is prob a noob question but i tried to do everything i can.

I can read and write perfectly fine with the xml i have right now.
When i try to use the tephra v7 the error message keeps popping up.

you just put the v7 9653 xml into the folder with all the other xmls
and you will need to run the 96530706 rom that comes with the v7 xml... you will no longer be on 9694 there is no v7 version for it.....
