Tactrix Cable

I'm not sure this is the right spot as I don't come to this sextion very often but I'm trying to find out what the differences between the different cables are.

I did a search but as I wasn't sure exactly where to look I didn't find with I'm looking for. If you have a link to said thread that would be awesome. Thanks.

Josh

the differences are .... 1.3R & 1.3D dont come with the license to use ecuflash. 1.3U should take care of what you need unless you need to tune/log evo X

Ok that's what I was mainly wondering, wanted to see if there was any reason to pick up the 2.0 over one of the cheaper alternatives.

If buying used then theres also a difference between old-old 1.3u and newer-old 1.3u. The difference visibly being the newer cable has 1 wire going to the smaller connector and older has 3. I have both versions and the 3 wire doesnt seem to work with anything newer then ecuflash 1.29.

Also, with the other cable I have you have to cut pin 9 for the IX. I see you have an 8, but if you used it on a 9 it apparently has a possibility of causing ECU damage.

So which one do you guys recommend for tuning only an Evo IX? I want to log and tune (with evoscan and ECUFlash).

(I have also searched and this is the only thread I could find.)

The 2.0 is pretty pricey....

Is the 1.3U the cheapest one I can get? Where is the best place to buy it? What options do I need to select when buying it?

Thanks for the help!

Links appreciated!

Will a 2.0 still work on an 06' MR for flashing and datalogging?

Where is the best place to buy it?

the 2.0 will work, but it's not necessary. the 1.3U is good for the 8 or 9. if you're not going to be logging/flashing an EVO X, the 1.3U is what you need. from what I read, the 1.3U is still faster for the 8 and 9 as well.
