I would also like to get more info on this.I plan on getting an email tune soon since cheapest they will tune my car here is 1645$ !! That's just crazy.
Well I have a LM-2 but also read that there are problems getting it to work with Evoscan and I really dont want to spend money on another device.

Does it have a serial output like the LC-1? If so I would say that the cal is similar to the LM-1 or the LC-1 maybe try checking one of those...

What is the problem you are having? I have to load ecuflash, then connect my limitless cable, then connect my wideband to the computer. Also make sure that you have the proper com port selected. I know I probably sound like captain obivious but you have to start at the start lol.

the problem is the LM 2 is a true USB device. it will not use a COM Port.

i had this problem a year ago, and i searched alot and posted on the Innovate Forum with no luck!

there is no simple solution. some people talked about a certain hardware cable that can be purchased from innovate to solve this problem. but i didnt follow this.

just buy an LM 1. it is still the best device to work with all softwares.

What was the problem? It would not interface? What trouble code or faults were there.

Also a com port is simply a communication port. My com ports are usb, so maybe I missed the problem there...

I have to use an adaptor to swap from a serial output to an usb output so that I can connect to my laptop with the usb. I do not have a serial com port on my laptop. My lm1 only has serial outputs.

Protocol problems....
LM2 was too new for EvoScan and Hamish did not write a inbuilt driver for LM-2 like he did for LC-1 and LM-1
LM-2 logging specs are unknown as far that I know.
LM-2 is using (SDK) old ocx and old dll technology. This is not reliable and can get out of version sync when new versions come along.....

Yes.....EcuEdit is working because is using SDK protocols.....
If I remember correct.... these are the steps for EcuEdit:

First method:
1. Connect LM2 direct to PC using USB connection
2. In ecuEdit choose "Innovate SDK"
3. Goto to Configure external sensor and choose you USB port and other
parameters
4. Start to log

Second:
1. Connect serial cable to LM2
2. Connect connect Serial to USB connector to serial cable and PC
3. Start ecuEdit, choose "Innovate LC1/LM1"
4. Goto configure, set COM-port of USB to Serial device and set "LC-1"
protocol and other parameter
5. Start to log
