Evo 9 GT JDM and Tephra V7

Guys, I have Evo 9 GT JDM with rom 89280002, is it possible to use Tephra rom with this ECU, and if possible, wich one should I use.

Can anyone give sent me working XML for 89280002 rom ?

Attached is the xml for 89280002. The JDM GT can be a little odd and does not like running on other JDM rom ID's such as 88570008 etc, you may have better luck on one of the USDM versions.

That's weird..

My 9 JDM GT comes with a Ralliart ECU which has a 89980000 romid. I have been using 88570008 without problems so far. I believe Tephra is in the final stage of the V7 for a few romids and this includes the 88570008.

seems that the logic mask related to the immobilizer are different between 8928 and 8857.
I think this is the reason that the ECU Roms are not compatible...

I have been running my EDM evo 9 with JDM GT ecu with 88840016 and 88580714 ROM's. Only problem so far was in missing EGR control in GT ecu which caused some trouble code related with EGR solenoid (there is not components installed on circuit board to control EGR solenoid in GT ecu). I have not tested yet if disabling EGR from address 103d (8884 and 8858 roms) solves this problem but will do that soon as I will disable EGR anyway.

Have you tried to run yours on 89280002? The GT is a popular import choice here in the UK. Out of all the ones I've seen, not one will run on 88570008, even with the immobiliser removed, all other model variants work fine.

Even with it disabled it will not start, so it would point to something different in the wiring (like some VII had).

I'm located in Singapore but I believed all JDM GT should come from the one and only source, Japan.

Since all JDM GT comes with Ralliart ECU in Singapore, I'm wondering if yours are equipped with the original ECU or the Ralliart version. I've not tried using the 89280002 as there isnt alot of support with this version of romid. The only ones I've tried are 89980000 and 88570008 which seem to be similar to me, even with most of the MUT codes.

See if this link helps.

They come with the OEM ECU and not a Ralliart one here, I can send you the original rom if you'd like to try it (89280002).

There is a big thread on throttle hang and the fixes available, most common are fuel decel adjustment and stepper motor idle changes. Take it you don't get any hang on the original rom ID?

weird thing about this ROM, I tried to run V7 tephra on it, but it wouldnt calculate fuel correctly, also knock sensor didnt work.

Decided to run original rom.
