If the rom origin was no map sensor confused as to why they're there(settings you posted), I believed they were just emissions components. What pin should your map sensor be for a rom that had it, and is interchangeable ? In my case the patch was written to read it from a factory location even though it did not exist there oe.

I can get it to run on SD rom, drives ok, had to tweak the 500 Kpa : 680 load in the table to 500:620 to get the AFR/load reasonable. Just haven't tried the PSI based BEC etc yet as I figured without the rom set up to be aware of the GM3bar it wouldn't work. Haven't altered the VE table either since I'm just beginning to understand SD.

I think its all relative. As long as the car is getting proper fuel/timing, it should be good. Sounds like you are trying to match MAF loads. Just get your load to line up with your target with VE. Then adjust fueling with the MAF Compensation (or smoothing) if you dont want to alter the fuel map.
FWIW, Id rather not have to rely on hooking a MAF sensor up in the future when I do things that change VE and have never used MAF loads for SD tuning. My current goal is to just get MAP (kPA) to equal load. Then I plan to adjust fueling with the MAF Compensation, while maintaining "real" AFR values in the fuel map. Its not that far off as it sits. But I used to use the VE table for adjusting fueling (not trying to match any load) and there are some areas that need to be tweaked to line it up.

I just wanted to say THANKS! 3D SD is a dream come true. I am going to be playing with this for a while and see if I can get this dialed in on my car so. The VE column was driving me nuts since VE will vary based on turbo efficiency and other factors at higher loads.

The KPA-to-LOAD is controlled by the 3D VE table when you have the 2D KPA-to-LOAD table set at a 1:1 ratio.
Example: If you have a VE of 50% in the 100KPA column, whenever you're at 100kpa, load will be (100KPA*50%= 50 load).
The reason you will see load differ sometimes from what your 3D VE table says it should be is because of other compensations that also affect the calculated load at times. Decel is the most common way to see a huge variance.
Evoscan has a glitch where it claims that one parameter needs to be above another, even though it already is correct. It says it every time I log VE but once I click 'OK', it logs fine.

What item should I log to make sure I am on the proper cell in the SD VE Map? Once I see a variation and I adjust the kpa->load map will it stay on there once dialed or do many other trims affect that as well? I am super excited to dial this in today. Lots of sitting in the car and punching keys! Soo much fun! Hahahaha.
