Well hasn't this been a long time coming? Current roms are still in testing and being debated

Success in the patch for 3d VE maps however the persistant jitter bug still currently exists which I'm working on but likely will take a while to fix. Its more an annoyance than a real problem only happening on low loads cruising in certain situations which can if really needed driver choice avoided. It is assumed you have the xml's from the previous tephra v7 patches if not download them as marked here.

Current Roms I plan to patch:
94171715
96531706
88591715

Notes:
I've given up on the live tuning thing as I can't really grasp how the patch and the program sync up. Since it seems to be easily done by other people I'm going to leave it up to those experts to patch in live tuning.

Testing nearly complete still need some more testing

Is this the final 9653 rom after all the changes were made or is it the first rom uploaded minus the improvements?

waiting for more mods, might post updated rom once tuned with more mods. Currently using the 941 rom on two cars. My personal car has been running the 941 for over a year. My brothers for a little over 6 months.

Also wanted to add that for about a month now I have been driving in open loop full time. Set cruise areas to 15:1, overall I’m seeing slightly better fuel economy. When I stop being lazy I’m going to try to mess with timing in the low load/cruising areas maybe that will help even more.

Hey guys, I'm thinking of converting to sd 2.0 to try it out and I was torn between 9653 or 9417 but after reading almost this whole thread I guess 9417 is the way to go for sd 2.0. Ive been having the lean tip in issue in closed loop using regular 9417. Open loop it runs fine. Ive been looking over the 3d rom and I have a couple of questions. When going to edit map under "map sensor kpa" it shows omni4bar selected under scaling. When going to edit map under "kpa to load" it says map sensor kpa under scaling. I'm using an Omni 4 bar map sensor. Do I leave "map sensor kpa" under scaling or change it to psi8a or psi16a omni4bar?

Also, I'm running regular sd now. Is there a way to bring over the values in the regular 2d tables to 3d ve table to at least get a starting point to start tweaking? If not, how should I go about it?

No need to change the scalings aside for selecting the map sensor you are using. When you are going to be logging you will be logging kPa absolute. There is no way to get your VE table transferred from the 2d rom, you will have to work on it from scratch and it can take a while (especially closed loop to get fuel trims in check with non oem injectors). You can however take your existing logs and get your timing transferred. Depending on your mods with the VE table left untouched most likely once you hit boost you will run rich. I like to setup my cars to hit whatever fuel ratio is in the fuel map. So the way I dialed in my VE map was set the fuel map to 10.5:1 where it hits boost and tweaked my VE map until thats what it hit then changed them to whatever I wanted the car to run. After I dialed in the car for WOT I then force the car to run open loop and set the low load part of the fuel map to 15:1 and drive around to scale that part of the VE map but this was after I installed FIC 1000s, with stock injectors closed loop fuel trims were always within 10% for me. I also run 1:1 kPa to Load makes tuning much easier.

Hey snailspeed thanx for your answer buddy. I'm on stock injectors evo 8 with 9 turbo. Gsc s2 cams and full bolt ons. Now, on the picture I have attached youll see what I'm talking about. The scaling for map sensor kpa table is kpa oni4bar. The scaling for kpa to load table says map sensor kpa. Can you please check your rom and tell me what I have to choose there? I'm using an omni4bar. Theres different options for the Omni 4 bar. The table on the left already had omni4bar selected but the one on the right said map sensor kpa under scaling.

Yup you shouldn't have to touch it. I had to change my map sensor to jdm3bar but i'm tuning my brothers car with an omni4bar and have it set up exactly how you have.

Awesome man that's what I wanted to know. So with sd 2.0 the 3d table is pretty much the load ve table and rpm ve from the original sd rom mixed into one table right? That's the only table I will have to touch? The 3d ve table. I noticed now theres baro vs kpa. Does that have to be messed with? What does it do?
