I'm sure I've seen a thread on this forum that had posts with descriptions for many of the basic subroutines used to interpolate tables such as sub_C28 - I seem to recall acamus and MrFred as posters. I had it open in a Firefox tab but not bookmarked , so when the upgrade to FF4 went pearshaped I lost the reference. A few hours searching have left me empty handed.

If someone can point me at those posts, that would be much appreciated.

Thanks, I'd already found that (again) - its extremely valuable info but not what I'm looking for...

The thread/posts I recall had basic descriptions for a variety of utility routines that are in the 0x500-0x1000 address range in addition to the table lookup routines described in your post.
