evo 7 ecu with 96532706

Hi guys,

I am running an evo 7 ecu with the 96532706 tephra rom patched by ziad. I am wanting to know if I can use Ecu based boost control using mrfred's guide found here:
https://www.evolutionm.net/forums/ec...t-control.html

Seeing as the 96532706 rom is for an evo 8, does this mean that I can just copy and paste the xml code required to run ecu based boost control? Or will the definitions be slightly off because it has been patched to run on an evo 7 ecu?

Any help would be appreciated, thanks in advance.
Martin.

Why not donate to Tephra and run 90550001 V7, alot less hassles and will run correctly

96532706 is not meant for Evo 7 and seems to be hit and miss as to running correctly

96532706 patched for the evo 7 ecu by ziad seems to be working fine on my car, my guess is whoever has had trouble with it didnt scale their injectors and latencies and/or MAF accordingly.

I will look at that option soon, I am also trying to set up ecu based boost control and I am not sure if you can do that on 90550001. Thanks

To answer your questions yes the patch by MrFred will work.

You'll be able to use any of the patches for the 9653 rom issued since your using an evo 8 rom.

Has someone actually inserted the code in 90550001 v7 for PSI based boost control? 9653 already has all the tables in it to run this, you only need to change the values where indicated in ECUflash.

90550001 v7 had load based gear dependent boost control, though you may have to change the RPM/gear ratios if your ECU has been converted to be used in MPH. KPH should be fine.
