Horribly Confused (Evo 8/TephraModv7/EvoScan)
Hi there, people who know what they're doing. I don't but I'm trying to learn.
I have an Evo 8 MR and in an effort to have some fun and learn stuff, I've re-flashed the ECU with TephraModv7 (ROM 96530706).
Before the flash it's hitting around 18psi and drops a little quicker than I'd really like. I find it hard to really tell because I haven't got a MAP sensor yet, I'm just eyeballing the boost gauge while running. After the flash it reaches around 12psi at a little after 3000rpm and drops very quickly to almost nothing. Not happy.
I did a little bit of driving around while logging with EvoScan and I'm very very confused by the results. I'm looking at the Map Tracer feature and it looks like the logged results are very different to what the maps look like (they are stock maps expanded to fill the Bigmaps).
I've attached screenshots of the map tracer showing what I mean. For reference, Octane Level is at 100 for most of the run, Knock Sum has some occasional spikes, but I don't really know why. I'm running 98 octane petrol and it's an almost stock set of maps.
Can anyone shed any light on why this looks like it does?
Thanks.

The log is here.
The load is reaching around 220.
I had already updated the "Main Map Wastegate Duty" map and set it to 100 in all gears, with a slight drop off from 5500 and a big drop at 6500. I don't *think* that's at fault since I don't get the same level of boost at 4000 that I do on the stock map. Please correct me if I'm wrong there.
Also BDEL is set at 55 at 4000rpm, with a boost adder of 100. I figured this would match well with the stock map, which was logging a load of 159.4 at peak.
Oh hrm. I just realised that the stock ECU couldn't show load over 159.4 anyway so maybe it was much higher. I'll muck with that later.
Still, the AFR and ignition timing logs are WAY different to the maps.
