Evoscan wont detect my USB COM ports UGH!

Can anyone answer this simple question?

My usb ports on my laptop are COM 31,32, and 33

Evoscan only allows me to choose between COM 2,3,8, and 9

am I missing something?

If I remember correctly, I had the same problems. You have to make sure that the correct wideband is selected. If that doesn't work then you will have to close the program, switch the usb to another port, open the program and check again. I ended up having to re-download the program because it was some kind of bug.

I made a new thread that describes the problem more in detail. New selections come up when I connect the adapter to different USB ports, but theyre not the same # of what port my computer says it is

i've seen this before I think evoscan only see up to 10 ports, what you need to do is go into your device managed and select the com ports and change there numbers to something lower, then use the new numbers in evoscan should then be ok, I've no idea why you have com ports in the 30+ unless you have a load of com devices connected

I was able to change the com port using device manager, although I had to choose one that was already selected, which gave me an error, but asked me if I would like to continue anyway.

Only reason I would guess as to why I have so many com ports is that I consistently hook up all sorts of smartphones to my computer to root/jailbreak them

after I squared away everything, and picked the same com port for both, evoscan still decided to not work
