Couple ECU based boost control questions.

First off, why does my turbo push less boost when I run through the gears from a stop/launch to say, cruising in 3rd or 4th and then nailing it? My Boost Error Correction tables are zero'ed out, and my entire WGDC table is set to 81% (about what it takes to hit 28psi stock turbo).

As a side note, I use TPS to control my boost curve. I keep my WGDC the same across the board, and use throttle angle to adjust it i.e. linear to throttle position until I'm at 80% throttle, then 100% requested WGDC.

My car will only hit about 24-25psi in any gear if I start from a stop or launch and run through the gears. If I'm cruising along in 3rd or 4th and go WOT, it has no problem hitting 28psi. What am I missing?

One more, when I'm setting up for a launch and hitting my 2-step, my WGDC are at 100% (builds ~10lbs) until I start letting the clutch out, then it momentarily drops to 0%, and then jumps back to 100%. What's causing this?

Thanks guys, trying to cure my ignorance.

Do you have "WGDC = 100% under this load" enabled? That could be it.

That said, I seem to have a similar situation with my car, though not quite as extreme. I can have my boost curve be set just the way I want it for a 2500-7000 pull in 3rd, but when I'm on a roadcourse and I punch it from something like 5k it'll spike higher than it should.

About the launching and WGDC, if your load drops below the boost control threshold then your WGDC will go back to 0 until you pass it again. Check the "min load for boost control" table under global boost control settings.

Yeah, my WGDC= 100% Under This Load is set to 200kpa, though I'm going to lower it to 180.

I've completely disabled it. Much easier to smoothly accelerate out of a turn on a roadcourse. Instead of having the boost be more like a boolean.

Does setting it to zero disable it? Also, if everything except the base WGDC tables are zero'ed out, does that table become the only one referenced for boost control?

Yes setting it to zero will disable it. If the correction tables are zero'ed, the desired boost will have no effect, so they aren't referenced. Check your IAT vs WGDC tables, there might be a couple similar tables that make small changes to WGDC, have a look in the global boost settings area.
