ecuflash doesnt recognise rom image?
hi all im new here and ive just installed an evo 6 gsr ecu onto my evo 4, i havent read the ecu yet but wanted to have play with some different maps to get used to how everything works, buti cant seem to open any maps? ive downloaded a few from evoscan to have a look at and it comes up
'ecuflash could not recognise this ROM image using any of the current definitions. you can use one of the following options
0 Abort using this ROM image
0 Use wizard to create a ROM definition file (not recommended for developers only!!)
any ideas and help will be muchly appreciated

You need to find your ROM ID (it will look like 887700015 or something) then find the definition. If you attach your ROM file to a post, someone on here can help you get your ROM ID.

where would i find that? i havent actually pulled the files form my ecu yet, i was just looking at onei found on the web just to get an idea on things as my openport cable hasnt arrived yet

I have the same issue i have an EVO 7 GT-A and i have the correct READ_TEMPLATE and i have the correct ROM ID (80700010.xml) but the ECUFlash still gives me the same error.
