It seems that Mitsubishi and Ralliart tuned the CZ4A in the manner that we are tuning CT9A ACD, which makes us believe that the direction is good.

But lots of improvment will be made in the CZ4A as well.

I have noticed this as well with the maps, it looks very much like some of the tunes I have seen as well for the CT9A

Cheers

Still in the making, but pretty much there!

Please don't ask me about it, it is not finish and i don't like to give things that can break your cars. I will test first and then...

Thank you for help: Tephra, Acamus, Dragon-V.

Excellent work guys. A lot of differences, to be sure. If that's the AYC map in the lower right, wow. It's extremely different, way more linear without that little island in the upper right and corner. Also no values to 100, I know it's 87 max but still strange.

Going from the top of your screenshot Sabin:

Lockup Reducer (A map)
Lockup % map (B map)
C Map

then on the right side going down:

????? Map
AYC Map

Is that right?

Yes, it depends on the scaling. This is what we are trying to figure it out.

It the other way
A is % map
B is lockup reducer
C also reducer based on steering

??? we don't know what it is...

S,

I had a chat with my mate at Ralliart and he said it might be something to do with AYC and what mode you are in, he is going to have a look today at the tech stuff and let me know

Scaling should be greater than that of the Evo 7/8/9 since the X has 2.3 turns to lock.

Older 7/8/9's had 2.1 turns to lock, so that was 756 degrees total. Divide by to get 378 degrees in one direction. Shouldn't that be the max number instead of 512 in the older tables?

For the X, it's 2.3 turns to lock so 828 degrees total on the X. So /2 to get 414 degrees in one direction, seems like the table should max out at 414.

I measured these on the car recently, don't know if it helps.

i measuread the same thing in a edm car (i asked a customer) and he told me exactly 900 degrees and that fits the numbers perfectly. I will try again.

Just measured again, used an extremely accurate angle gauge. For the USDM X came out exactly to 828 degrees total, 414 degrees one way. Shown in the second pic is the 54 degree reading, which is 54 + 360 = 414.

Maybe EDM X has a 2.5 to one turns to lock? That would make it exactly 900. If not, maybe it is good to go beyond the mechanical limit a bit so you never run off the chart at the edge?

Yes, i see what you are saying. But when i make a scaling or something, i try to think what was in the mind of the guy who made the software.
With the scaling i made, i also have distinct, 180, 270, 360... and also bigger resolution until 40 degree. I find it right.

But this is only to make an idea. After we will be able to log a real car, we will know for sure if the scalings are good or not and remake them if are bad.

Is the ECU measuring the degrees at the same place you are?
